Took my folks here for a nice dinner and we were not disappointed. Great location, view of the river, service, and food-all tucked under the causeway bridge. Highly recommended for people that want a nice dinner with a dining experience.
Great Family Dinner!. We had family visiting from Boston on Wednesday night, so we made reservations for the best restaurant in town! The food was delicious! I highly recommend the goat cheese stuffed chicken and tiramisu- loved it! Our server, Brian, was very attentive and we had a great time. Next time, we will sit out on the deck to watch the gorgeous sunset over the river.
Over Priced. I reserved a window table for my parents 68th anniversary for 5 pm Saturday. They didn’t give it to us for whatever reason… And my parents are elderly and we did want to argue. The prices are very high for the portions including the fact that my sister and I both asked for a baked potato instead of rice and we were charged $3.75 each but were not told that when we ordered. Nor did we get the rice that came with the dinner. When the bill came and I objected the waitress simply acted annoyed and walked away. I will never go there again! Very disappointing for an evening that should have been special!
Good food/poor service. Dined with family on Easter Sunday, 2014. I ordered macadamia encrusted mahi and received a plate that was described on the menu as mahi pomodoro. The waitress told me what I received was the macadamia encrusted mahi but the kitchen put the pomodoro topping on it. A woman at the next table ordered the macadamia encrusted mahi and that is what she received. My piece of fish was not encrusted with anything. However, it was excellently prepared, so I can say that the mahi mahi pomodoro was great. The food my table mates received was good as well. I did not push the issue that I did not get what I ordered since the waitstaff was argumentative and I did not want to cause a scene with my inlaws. I will try this restaurant again but not on a holiday.
Riverview/chart house. We go to riverview often but prefer the bar and appetizers. Meals in main dining room are just average quality which is a shame as it is a great location. The servers in the bar are very friendly but would agree the hostesses could use some training on smiling and making you feel welcome. Saying it is even close to chart house is way off base. Two very different levels of quality. But yes, enjoy the great bar atmosphere, fantastic view and finger food.
We used to love Riverview but it has become way too expensive and only mediocre. The host staff was very rude because we did not have reservations.
Disappointed… My husband and I have eaten here several times. We never had a fantastic meal, but never had a terrible one either. The ambiance is always great. We went today for lunch and the food was terrible :/ the crab cakes had no flavor, my cesar salad was way overdressed and served warm with small, cheapy, hard as a rock croutons. My husbands mahi sandwich was decent. The best part of the meal were the nice big French fries. I ordered extra and ate those instead of my meal. I suppose we just expected more from a 75 dollar lunch.. No more Grill at Riverview for us.
