Anytime we are going to be on the East Coast from Tampa, we try to work in a trip to The Garlic. Owners have done an incredible job of working seating into a venue that incorporates the beautiful out of doors and cozy inside seating also. The bread and roasted garlic are the best. Ask for some balsamic to mix in with the roasted garlic for dipping!! Consistently wonderful.
Why are there soooo many 5 star ratings by reviewers who never reviewed another restaurant? The only way you might give this restaurant a 5 star is if you ignore the food. Just sit at the bar and drink and eventually it will be 5 stars. The Garlic has an amazing decor and ambiance BUT like many big successful concept restraunst it is hit or miss. Stick to simple dishes and go to have fun not for fine dining or for value.
Our 1st visit tonight and Wow! We arrived after 5:30 pm so the wait time to be seated was close to an hour…well worth it. This place is amazingly flavorful. We ordered Lasagna, Filet Mignon, fettuccine alfredo with meatballs and spuntitori Italiano. Everything was so flavorful. The best Lasagna I’ve ever had and the portion size of everything is tremendous. Definitely enough to share or enough to take home for 1 or 2 more meals. We also enjoyed great desserts including a lemon almond pie, cannoli, dreamcicle cake and blackberry and peach tart. What a wonderful place. Our server was Coleen F and she was awesome. She was friendly, offered great advice on menu items and provided the right amount of attention. Love Coleen.
The ambiance is great as well as the food. The price may be a bit steep but if you go when it first opens you can ask for the early bird menu (you have to ask) and get a great deal! Totally worth it.
One of the best restaurants in Central Florida…from it’s awesome servers to staff, managers and chefs… be prepared for an experience out of this World!!! 5 stars can stand alone any other restaurant…literally around the World!
Cool eclectic patio, not so friendly servers. The food was good, but if you are gluten free, this is not the place for you. When I asked the server if they have gluten free selections, as nothing was mentioned on the menu, he gave me a funny look then said steak or fish. Everything else has flour. So this is an old restaurant that clearly doesn’t need to change with the times. I decided to have the clams appetizer then move on to another restaurant. They were local and delicious, everyone else eating looked as if they were enjoying!
Disappointing dinner tonight. Sea bass had no flavor, veggies were hard and lasagna special was mediocre at best. $130 for dinner for two should leave me feeling a little more satisfied.
