Have gone to Benihana for the past 7 years on my birthday. This year I went and had an absolutely horrific experience. The receptionists were extremely rude. It took half an hour to be seated with a reservation, on a Tuesday. It took an hour before we even received our soups. Our waitress was not attentive. Only our chef was good. Never going back again. Place is going downhill.
Besides the chef, the service is horrendous. Slow to bring everything.
Overall fun and good food; Good for kid’s Birthdays. Benihana is pretty expensive but overall worth the money. The service is great as the chefs cook literally right in front of you. I have been to the restaurant a couple of times and they are all very sociable and funny. The steak and corn is GREAT. It’s not a great option for vegetarians, but is very entertaining and a good time for the whole family.
Who doesn’t love Benihana’s. Always worth the drive from South Beach.
So bland!. Probably the worst Japanese chain steakhouse. I went at 130p for lunch and waited until 2p to get my drink. I had to wait until 230p for the chef to arrive and 330p for my food to finish being cooked via Teppanyaki. Needless to say, even with all the soy sauce that was poured onto my fried rice, there was still no flavor. I don’t understand why people think this place is even remotely good. Don’t get the soup, you will get maybe 2 pieces of mushroom if you are lucky. At $14 for lunch, totally not worth it. Oh and don’t wear anything expensive, your clothes will REEK of cooked oil.
