  BEWARE NOT THE SAME ANYMORE… AVOID THIS PLACE!!. About 2 years ago, I fell in love with Sakura Japanese Buffet in North Bay Village, FL because it offered some of the best buffet food in Miami. The sushi was fresh and everything was SPOTLESS & CLEAN. But unfortunately last summer (2014) the ownership changed and so did the quality. The staff started to change and things steadily declined as a result. So much so that now this once great place has been ordered shut by the state twice within a month.   Horrible. The attention is horrible.They didn’t even greet us, so we had to walk ourselves to a table. The food was ok, but the servers don’t even want to work. They didn’t even asked if we were finished, they assumed we were and brought the bill. When we finally paid, one of them came saying the tip was too low so we were forced to pay the minimum, which is $16 something. Bad experience.

  Horrible. Food was really bad. It was old and dry and hot food was cold and cold food was warm. Couldn’t eat anything. They even gave us a discount because they knew it was so bad. Im waiting for the food poisoning to set in. :/

  Never will I go to this buffet again. We were greeted horribly. The woman that greeted us was only concerned about who was going to pay. She wasn’t friendly atall. She kept walking around staring at my family and it was to the point we felt uncomfortable. The servers were just staring and playing around. They didn’t ask us how we were doing. When we were finish eating the servers took our plates not asking if we were done or not. Now here’s the worst part, when the bill came they overpriced us by adding 9.14 $ to the bill. I went to correct it and they looked all confused but they knew exactly what they were doing. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t worth the amount we paid and feeling uncomfortable. I left upset. I will never go back to this place. The hispanic woman that greets the customers is so rude.
