We went to dinner 1/16 to try somewhere new. Clams casino wasn’t cooked properly. The breading was mushy. Not really sure how they cooked it…. My veal Parm breading was soooo mushy & greasy… DEFINATELY left under the heat lamp. And my husbands angel hair pasta had cinnamon in it. Yes… Cinnamon. And it wasn’t the red sauce because the sauce was good & tasted exactly like mine. We areBoth chefs & know what cinnamon tasts like. Not sure what they were hiding. I’m sad to say we won’t be back. It was the closest Italian restaurant to our house. I was extremely dissapointed.
Very good. We went here after recommendations of friends. This place reminded us of the neighborhood Italian restaurants that are so common in New York. The customer service was excellent all around, very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Patty, treated us as if we were guests at her house and took awesome care of us. When we go there again, we want to sit at her table. The house salad had a really good Italian vinaigrette and was fresh. The shrimp scampi was way above expectations, garlicky and well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Garlic rolls were excellent and very garlicky. Others in our group had the chicken arm and liked it. I have to say that the pasta was a little over cooked and probably not made to order, but pre cooked and re-heated.The carafe of Merlot was huge and a good value but if you bring your own wine, the corkage fee of $10 is very reasonable. For desert, we had the ricotta cheesecake and it was very good. Cannolis had a nice crispy shell and the real treat was the filling. This dessert gets an excellent. The Restaurant dot com coupon really makes this place a good value too.We will be back, thanks Patty for being an awesome waitress.
We love it and eat here all the time. We eat here a lot because we love the food the service and the fact they keep a very clean restaurant. If I were to ask my kids right now what Italian Restaurant they want to go get some food from it surly would be GG’s they always have fun and they really do like the food and the time we spend there eating and laughing and enjoying. When we moved up north for a year we missed this place when we got back we remembered why we missed this place so we keep going back again and again, there are other places closer to us but we go here because we already know we love it and always have a good meal and a good time.
I wouldn’t go out of my way. The resturant is nice enough. The food was okay but there’s nothing special about it. The bread was a hogie roll that was lightly toasted in the oven. My meal was a mix of lasagna, manacotti, stuffed shell and a meatball which was good but not incredible. I’ve had better meals at the Olive Garden.
This place used to be great, now it’s just awful. Hardly any dressing on the salad. And what was there was mostly oil. I ordered the chicken franais. What I got was three small pieces of chicken drowning in lemon goo. They gave me a side of spaghetti covered in tomato sauce. Seriously who does that? Tomato sauce with franais?? My son ordered the ravioli, the adult portion. For $14 we got 6 ravioli. I asked the waitress if this was the child’s portion, I was sure it was a mistake. She said 6 ravioli was the adult portion!! For $14!! They are out of their mind!! I Will never return!!
Not Good. Today, 28 June 2012. Chicken cachatories (misspelled) and veal oso brocco was warmed up meat. Very very bad. Previously good food. Tonight no way
