Experience real chinese food. And find out, how tasty and fresh it can be. after some not so great treats at other places around the world, I would not have believed, to find such a pleasant surprise here in Western Broward County: everything came hot and fresh on the table with a caring and family feeling service. big variety of authentic tastes in an unpretentious ambiance of high quality and good price. a real neighborhood gem!
Good dim sum. I have not been here for a while, the dim is still as good as you can get it in chinatown, ny.
Real authentic Chinese food. Love the dim sum!!!
Authentic Hong Kong FlavorZ. Went for lunch on a Sunday. The place was clean, and the servers were friendly and helpful. There is a large variety of Dim Sum, all very reasonably priced. We enjoyed various dumplings, chinese mustard greens sticky rice, stuffed egglant, soy sauce pan fried noodles, and BBQ pork… all was simply delicious. We had a pot of Chrysanthemum tea, which really complimented everything. Overall a great experience, and I look forward to coming back!
Horrible Service, Ho-hum foodFood was so-so. Its Cantonese cuisine that pretty much 95% of the Chinese restaurants serve in the U.S.A. None of the food really stood out to make this place recommendable. I’m not comparing this restaurant with restaurants in China Towns (SF, NY, DC, Chicago, etc) but rather with other local Chinese restaurants. The service at this restaurant is discriminatory. Not to Caucasian folks but to Asian folks. While me and the gf were waiting to get seated, another (Caucasian) couple walked in 5 minutes behind us. They were seated immediately (they did not have reservations – he signaled 2 to the hostess) After being seated, we were treated rudely by the wait staff that hurried us to make an order, while being very patient and detailing dishes to other guests. Our order (of simple stir fried vegetables and beef) took substantially longer than a neighboring table that ordered many more (complex) dishes that also ordered after us.
The food was pretty good, but the service was so painfully bad that we’ll never return. It was almost comical that we couldn’t get our waitress to stop by our table as people ate all around us. It was even more ridiculous because the owner has to walk past our table to get to the register.
Fresh/Great Chinese Food. On a recommendation from my Yelp.com friend, Tim F. I had lunch at HKC BBQ. It was excellent. I had the lunch special, shrimp in a spicy sauce with pea pods instead of broccoli (see pic) and an egg roll with a cup of won ton soup. The egg roll was perfect. Fried to perfection it was tasty. The soup was good, but the main course was spot on. The shrimp were cooked with a nice sauce and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. Just heaven on a plate. Thanks Tim and remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
