The Vegetarian Restaurant by Hakin, is one of the very few vegetarian places in North Miami Beach. It has a variety of vegan specialties. The food is tasty, plentiful and their natural juices and smoothies are highly recommended because of the many benefits to the body healing and care. The first time I was there I absolutely loved my experience at the restaurant. The waiters were very friendly and the food was trully great. They showcased complex flavors and creative combinations. My favorite item was the mediterranian pizza… I also had a taste of the bbq sandwich and the vietnamese chicken (this one is very gingery and spicy) with sweet potato fries, both sandwiches were also good but not memorable at all. The pizzas were the star of the show for me.The second time I visited was completely different. Service was really bad, they didn’t have most items on the menu. The food took forever to make and it was not nearly as good as I remembered. Pizza was blend and undercooked. The bbq sandwich was too sweet and the chocolate cake dessert tasted like betty crocker cake mix. Oh, and also I found a metal screw in my pizza (yeah… That was the icing on the cake) I don’t think I will be coming back to Hakins restaurant anytime soon.
