Good food to order out. Being Cuban-American, I have had my share of good and bad Cuban/latin food. While i do agree the food is good here, the service, environment and attitudes are just AWFUL at best! We first walked in to a very poorly lit area where we had to try and guess whether to sit down on our own or wait to be seated. Finally one of the patrons just told us to take a seat or we’d be waiting forever, even though there was only 3 tables being used (his included). Apparently the ONE waitress that seemed to be running around was just too busy to attend to us, but not the other guests. When she finally came to our table 20 minutes later with a scowl on her face, we asked for menus. Obviously this upset the lady because she practically threw 2 menus at our face. There was an older gentleman passing by filling our glasses with water and giving us silverware which was greatly appreciated. After the lady took down our orders 15 minutes after, we did receive the great food. However, it took the next shift’s waitress, obviously someone who respects NEW customers to ask us about our food, take back our plates, and GIVE US THE BILL. Mind you, our first waitress was still walking around to her other tables, she was just refusing to talk to us. When the nice waitress told miss scowly-face that she had not only our table but the other 2 waiting for her, scowly-face ran to the other tables whom she obviously knew from before and adhered to them perfectly. Us on the other hand, not even a mere glance to see if we had even received our food or anything. In conclusion, if you are not a regular….may i suggest REGULARLY ordering the food to go. It is a shame since there are not a lot of choices of latin food in the area.

Place was once really good. But now te service has gotten really bad… At one point we went 20-30 minutes without a server approaching us.

Unfortunate. What criteria are these people using to review this place? Edible? It is, but you can get a better sandwich at Panera. Both sandwiches we ordered were dry and very plain. Almost no flavor. And the service was absolutely terrible. Everyone working there was rude and the two sandwiches took forever. The reviews were so promising, but I was nothing but disappointed.

The Bistec de Palomilla was amazing! The place wasn’t crowded either, which is nice for such a tourist saturated area.
