This is a hole-in-the-wall of the best kind. There is little to no parking, the building front is non-descript, the people are down home awesome, and nothing matches. The seating is a series of mismatched tables and chairs picked up from flea markets. I could go on and on about how much I love this layout. The food is really good. My brisket sandwich was massive. I had to take meat off to take a bite. It’s enough food for two. The meat was tender and slightly marbled. The sauces at the table were wonderful. A roll of paper towels await you at your table because you will have messy hands. By the way, your mom doesn’t work here so pick up after yourself!

From the outside you will never know that one of South Florida’s best BBQ places is inside! Once inside you fall in love with the nostalgic look of what an old BBQ place should look like and the food? The Food is simply Amazing!! On the benches they have what looks like old moonshine bottles filed with different BBQ. They say the white is the best or most favorite but I couldn’t get over the color for I’m used to a dark brown/burgandy sauce. The vinegar styled BBQ you either love of hate and I don’t know of too many people that can’t stand the place. I personally am in love with the mac N cheese and pastrami on thursdays!

They line up out the door for lunch on Thursday when pastrami is served so get there early before they run out of this special homemade brisket. On other days the ribs, pulled pork, chicken and brisket are the kind you’d expect an authentic BBQ joint to serve. Sides are limited to beans, mac & cheese, cornbread, slaw and greens, but meat is the star served in generous portions. Place your order at the counter and sit at a long table dressed with several styles of sauce to match your food and taste. Soft drinks come in cans, but they have an interesting assortment of bottled craft beers. It feels like an old-time Texas BBQ spot. Nothin’ fancy. But if you’re nostalgic for the mouth-watering taste of slow-cooked tender BBQ that’s slapped on paper and served on a tray, this is the perfect place. I always take points off for paper and plastic. However, if they replace the rolls of paper towels with tablecloths, it would just be wrong. Don’t get mislead by directions that this website gave me. What was once a food truck in downtown Ft. Lauderdale is now a restaurant on the south edge of Pompano Beach around 1400 S. Federal Hwy.

BBQ. Looking for some authentic bbq in Pompano, surprise we found it!When you first drive up you won’t think much of it and be careful not to park in the Polish psychic spots or they will tow you away. Walk inside and hear the old blues jazz and see the plain wood/metal interior. A real no frills place with long tables for family style eating. The menu is simple and the tables are lined with 5 sauces. They are a mild vinegar based sauces and the hot one was really hot and flavorful. We chose brisket which was tender and tasty. The pork ribs had a good flavor, a little fatty and tough. Sides were macaroni cheese which again was no.grills but enjoyable. The beans were really good, cornbread was good but dry and needed butter. The people who run and really nice. I would come back and try the brisket sandwich with coleslaw on top, looked yummy!

FOOD CRITIC. Upon arriving to the Restarunt which is labeled barbecue..I notice it sets off in the cut next to a polish Restarunt but what I didn’t expect was what I walked into when opening the doors..I think I was in barbecue heaven..The food smelled soooooooooooo good and the cashiers are beautiful ,sweet n funny..He has a group of nice cashiers n pretty ones especially on pastrami day.I love seeing her smile but back to the food it is delicious and it will make you go coo coo for coco puffs..Im patiently awaiting pastrami day to see that smile and get some amazing food..This is the place to be for some real good barbecue…
