Plantation location. Oversized baby backs. Greasy very little smoke flavor. Coleslaw flavorless . The French fries were good. 2nd time at this location last time has pork plate that was dry. There are no other BBQ locations in the plantation / Sunrise area . Business by default

Tried the Plantation location. Of the three of us the favorite item was the cole slaw. That’s not saying much for the rest. Very mediocre at best. Soggy fries, bland brisket, overcooked burger, and fatty pork.

Sigh, Texas BBQ. This review is for the Plantation location.I’m a transplanted Texan so I have a deep-rooted need for beef. I’ve tried a number of places in Broward to find smoked brisket done like home and now have found my spot. How lucky am I that it is right in my neighborhood?Of course, I had the brisket–I had the two-meat plate with smoked sausage. Yep, just the right amount of smokiness to both. The sauce provided with the plate was a little bland for my taste, but I switched over to one of the sauces on the table, the sweet tangy one, and that made it right for me. Two sides come with this plate and I had the potato salad (chunky, smooth, crunchy bits of celery, and sweet relish) and the green beans (made surprisingly, but well, with bits of tomato to go with the bacon). My friend also had the brisket, but supplemented with the St Louis ribs and she ate them to the bone. Her sides were mac n cheese and collards. She put hot sauce on the collards but sucked that mac n cheese down to almost licking the plate. There is a full bar with televisions tuned to sports (only have been during football season, but can anticipate other sports) that is walled off with glass from the rest of the restaurant for noise control, I’m guessing. The set-up in the restaurant is booths around the perimeter and high-tops in the middle so you can have an open or close experience with friends. There is also outside seating with another TV for taking advantage of the fresh air.SO happy to find this place.

Food was decent. Ribs fell off bone. Sweet tea was good. Potato salad good. Pecan pie good. Mac n cheese was from the box. And the sausage was mediocre. Some of the food was so so. Their BBQ sauce needs a lil help. For the price I think your taste buds and stomach would appreciate Tom Jenkins BBQ of federal hwy in fort Lauderdale a lot more. In my opinion they’re still better.

The St. Louis ribs were very tender and flavorful. The pork had amazing flavor and didn’t even need sauce. I love some good in house cut fries. Baked beans were ok. The only thing they need is a better system for pick up when called ahead.

This place is the best BBQ! The food is so good; I can’t believe that this place is not packed but perhaps that is because it does not look like much from the outside. The jalapeo poppers are incredible – completely different than anything I have ever tried and everything else I had on the menu was the best ever. The brisket is so tender and tasty, and the turkey was delicious, and the portions are massive and very reasonably priced

WOW!! This place blows Scruby’s off of the map!! I have never had such tender pork or brisket! If you love genuinely smoked bbq, ya gotto make your way over! 2 thumbs up!
