Wonderful food and atmosphere!. The restaurant ambiance transports you to a trendy, almost SoBe atmosphere. We loved the food, especially our pasta dish and the service is exceptional. We look forward to returning!
Mediocre Food. I live in the area and was disappointed with the food. The burrata was served cold as opposed to room temperature. It came directly out of the fridge. It was a solid ball instead of having a soft consistency. Beet salad was heavily dressed and the walnuts were soft instead of crunchy. The onion flat bread was average. My husband’s $40 filet was ok, mash potatoes average and radicchio was ok. I also ordered Caesar salad. Dressing was decent. I would not return. (Groupon patrons may find good value but not when you are paying full price!) Service was good. BTW- regarding the comment from the New Yorkers, this restaurant doesn’t even come close to the restaurants in NY.
Superb. Just was introduced to MOJO through Living Social. Party of 5, all ordering different meals. Food was between very good and superb. Service was exceedingly attentive, including watching and servicing levels of water and wine. Very friendly staff, including management, all of whom went out of their way to make sure this was an enjoyable evening.Can’t recommend highly enough.
I’ve been to Mojo twice and enjoyed the food and service immensely both times. Their calamari and molten chocolate cake are especially good.
Groupon Buyers Beware. I had been looking forward to dining at Mojo since it received a nice review in the Sun-Sentinel and one of my colleagues who frequents the restaurant always raves about it. My neighbor had purchased the Groupon for the prix fixe menu and even paid extra for Saturday night dining.Unfortunately, we were turned off as soon as we walked in the door when the hostess collected our Groupon certificate and the proceeded to lead us to the worst table in the restaurant. We politely asked to be moved and she obliged. Within one minute the general manager approached our table and told us that we would have to move back to the other table. When we explained why it wasn’t desirable he agreed to let us move to a booth which was actually the best option.The rest of the experience seemed to go downhill from here. Our initial impression that groupon certificate holders are treated like second class citizens stayed with us from start to finish. We were served Chardonnay in place of Sauvignon Blanc but didn’t bother pointing it out. Our waiter although cordial didn’t seem interested in providing great service. He’d slam food in front of us and would rush off before we could say anything. The food was disappointing. The chicken was dry, the grilled salmon was excessively charred and the key lime cheesecake was carelessly presented with no garnish or trace of macadamia nuts. The only positives were the creme brle (mispelled on the menu) and the restaurant decor.I wish I could believe that this was just a bad night and be open to giving Mojo a second chance. Unfortunately, with so many other dining options available such as consistently excellent 3030 Ocean I think once was enough.
A Great Find-Don’t Miss It. Owners Anthony and Dominic have created a wonderful atmosphere and a terrific place for drinks, apps and dinner. Their attention to detail has allowed for people at every level of interest to have a wonderful experience. The vibe and decorations are a welcome oasis for drinks. The bar bite menu is inventive, original and affordable. The Happy Hour specials are wonderful. Superb snacks at approacable prices. The menu is creative and offers specials at a host of cost levels. Let’s ignore comments about coupons and nasty comnments about money. The bottom line is the staff is approachable. The food is superb, and the atmosphere is great. If the only reason someone is dining is because of a coupon, they may be better off staying home. Go, enjoy-you’ll be glad that you did.
Hidding gem-Abasolutely Amazing!. I visited this restaurant with a Travelzoo voucher, they only honor the value of the voucher but gave us a superb service. The food is well prepared and different from the regular restaurants, the chef has unique combinations of spices that make every plate exquisite. We have gone back several more times after we discover it.
