First time eating at a Bob Evans. I don’t like chain restaurants, because they normally all taste about the same. But this was different. The food tastes fresh. We had a variety of dishes among the family, and I tried them all. Everything was good. Waitress was the bomb! I complimented the coffee and she said they sold it. When she brought my bill, she also gave me a coupon for the coffee. Can’t post any pics because nothing lasted long enough to photograph.
I stopped at Bob Evans on the way home to South Carolina from Ft. Myers, Florida. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich with two sides. My sides were fries and the mac and cheese. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The sandwich was good, the chicken breast was tender and juicy, the bacon was crispy and the bun was nicely toasted. The mac and cheese was just that macaroni and cheese, but it was what I expected it to be. It was very cheesy and had a good flavor to it. My 2.5 rating is for the fries, I had a rotten potato in my fries and bit into it. As anyone knows when there is a rotten potato you KNOW IT! Other than the rotten fry, my meal was ok.
Very Poor Service and Food. Coming back from vacation earlier this week, we stopped for breakfast at this Bob Evans around 6:30 in the morning. Not very crowded so you would have expected at least half way decent service.Unfortunately this was not the case. We were seated promptly a little off the main dining area and from what I can see, promptly forgotten. Too forever for our server to make an appearance and when she did, it was to give us a menu, take our order, deliver our coffee and order and finally to deliver the check to our table. Never once did anyone bother to check back to see if we need a coffee refill or if we needed something else as simple as salt and pepper. We had to get up and remove the salt and pepper from an adjacent talbe ourselves. We were in a bit of a hurry so we kept our order simple. We both had biscuits and sausage gravy with link sausage as a side. Biscuits were a bit dry and obviously not fresh and the gravy had very little taste or texture to it. The same can be said of the link sausage we had as a side. It had no taste or character whatsoever.I know it would be hard to screw up a simple order such as this one but in this case, they managed to do exacatly that with flying colors.Atmosphere is good. This appears to be one of the newer restaurants in the chain so it does have a nice fresh interior. Other than that, not much to offer other than it is right off of I-75 but then again, a lot of other restaurants are there as well. While I like Bob Evan’s restaurants in general, I would not recommend this particular one to someone traveling through.
Great food great service. I take the wife and kids here all the time. Great food great people. The kids love to watch the cooks.
What a GREAT place to eat!. Robin delivered up some awesome service and mouth watering delicious food at this Bob Evans restaurant in Ocala. This was our first visit to a Bob Evans Restaurant and we loved it. We will be sure to visit more of their restaurants in the future during our walk in cities across the US and back.
