When people think of Ocala, FL two things come to mind, horses and Silver Springs. Big Ed Carmichael was one of the first business owners to market Silver Springs as a tourist attraction. His dedication to bringing high quality entertainment and customer experience inspired Ken to contact Eds daughter Susan Carmichael and son Ned Carmichael to receive permission to use the family name. Carmichaels was open in the Spring of 1986 with a dedication to quality food, family-friendly atmosphere, and affordable pricing. We wanted to create a restaurant that everyone would feel at home said Ken. Today, Carmichaels intends to not only live up to that standard, but bring it to a new level with our team of dedicated professionals with more than 40 years of hospitality experience.
