I ordered a salad and I know salad at a BBQ joint don’t have high expectations but the cheese on it was sliced yellow cheese cut into strips. My boyfriend ordered pork sandwich with baked beans . He said the pork was tasteless and the beans tased like canned with some BBQ sauce added. Also we were ganna order Mac and cheese but the waitress told us it was craft out of the box. The corn on the cob was overcooked and soggy, how does that even happen? O and the tea was definitely Lipton iced tea bags. Over all it was not enjoyable but hey it was cheap and the waitresses were nice.
Worth the 6 miles from 75 if you want decent bbq. Hole in wall. Great baked beans. Bbg had good smoke to it and sauses were good for the area
Love me some Fat Boy’s. Fat Boy’s, an old time favorite, takes me back to some happy times. Maybe not as good as I remember from years ago, but am glad they are still fighting the fight. Would rather visit here than the Buddy down the street. Been there, done that, drove right by and went to FB’s. Had lunch here today and will be back as long as they can keep the doors open. Tough times out there, big BBQ trying to take over, keep the locals in business so we can keep having a choice.

Bland. I stopped in starving after a trans-atlantic flight and a drive from Tampa. I saw the all-you-can-eat Ribs $10 sign and figured I would give them another try. I am a native of Ocala and have been giving Fat Boy’s another chance for a few years after my first bad meal there. They have never failed to disappoint me. The ribs were tasteless without lots of sauce. The beans were slightly better than out of the can. The coleslaw and bread were the best parts of the meal. Maybe one day they will get it back together and be a great bar-b-que joint again.
