Pat no attention to the one lone neg review. Who picks abar b q place by frozen hamburgers? Like so many others I have been enjoying this great place since they opened. I have sent dozens of friends, patients and reps and it’s is always highly praised. It is a true SMOKEHOUSE. Not a salad or Mac and cheese house,a Smokehouse! As such the meats are consistently amazing and the sides good but the meat is why it’s called bar bq. The only thing that’s better than the food are the people. Service is second to none! Very reasonable prices and portions are huge. I assure you you won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a great place to eat!
Started frequenting Hardwood shortly after opening. Have no desire to go anywhere else for excellent smoked goods. St. Louis ribs are second to none, brisket melts in your mouth. Corn nuggets are like dessert with dinner. Just very good all around food and great service. Nice people run this establishment, you will not be disappointed.
Had the baby back ribs, corn nuggets, corn bread, and baked beans. All excellent. The desserts, banana pudding and peach cobbler were delicious. Wife and friend had pulled pork sandwich (very large) and brisket. They totally enjoyed their meals. Only negative was bbq corn on cob. Great look and texture but typical off season, not sweet flavor. Order at counter with help from very friendly staff and go to table where food is delivered. Location was very clean and nicely decorated. Prices were fairly low given the quality. Best bbq we have had in area.
Very good food. Brisket, Chicken and pork ribs were all very good. Amazing corn bread. Nice large portions. Sauces are good, but possibly mis-named. The sweet was almost more smokey, and the spicy are more tangy than spicy. Very good service. Clean establishment.
Not the best.. But if you enjoy frozen hamburger meat, frozen okra, Mac and cheese from a can and flavorless slaw. Then this is the place for you. Over priced for the quality of food.. Only good thing is the bathroom was clean..
Bar none the best BBQ and sides in Ocala!
Really good BBQ. Got the sampler platter. Brisket and pulled pork good. 1/4 chicken good. Fall off bone St. Louis ribs good. $16 fed 2 of us and we even brought some home. Slaw had green apple in it and it was good. Beans were good, not just right out of can. Go eat there. It was good 😉
