Russ. Laki’s is a long-time, great restaurant in Ocala. The quality of its menu remains excellent. Village salads, fish entrees, and traditional Greek and Italian dishes are superb, delicious, and healthy. The owner and staff are friendly, hospitable, and consistently serve the best
I guess it’s good for Ocala, but I ordered spinach as a side dish instead of fries, and got spinach that was clearly not fresh, grocery store chopped frozen spinach, really? I’ve also had better gyro at Greek fast food restaurants. I’m not a picky eater, and I love Greek food, but this was a disappointment.
Dependable Greek fare. Haven’t tried any of the Italian dishes here — Greek is where it is at! Gyros are moist and hold together well, the dolmades platter is tasty and plentiful, and the spanakopita is HUGE (you will want to eat it all because it is so tasty but do yourself a favor and don’t because it is so much food!).
Very good.. Went to Laki’s for the first time this past Friday. We ordered the Hummus for an appetizer and split the Moussaka and the Appetizer Sampler (which consisted of Tyropita, Spanakopita, Dolmades, Tzatzki) for dinner. The hummus was very flavorful and something that I would order again and again. The food was seasoned well and we were given very large portions and had to take quite a bit of it home (it makes for a great lunch the next day!). The service could have been better but the food was fantastic–would definitely go back again.
We were looking for some place new & the reviews were very good so we thought we’d give it a try. It was a Sunday night & when we got there at 6:30 it was almost empty. We were wondering what had we done?! We were seated promptly, the waitress was very nice & helpful. The food was excellent. We had the sampler for an appetizer, each of us had something different & not one of us had a bad thing to say about it. The baklava cheese cake, very good!
This is the first time I have visited this restaurant. The waiting staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. The food is wonderful.
