Over priced for lack luster food. There are many other better Mexican type restaurants in the area with better prices. Our waitress was rude and the food was mediocre.
Wow! Wish I Could Visit Ocala more Often!. We drive from the Tampa Bay area to Atlanta fairly often. On our last trip we were passing through Ocala at dinnertime. We had read in a restaurant guide book about Latinos y Mas and decided to try it out. We were hugely impressed. We were expecting a more informal place, not having heard of their renovation. The place had a nice vibe and was bright and festive. The staff was pleasant and professional and our waitress was able to make helpful recommendations from the menu. The Margarita was good, but not the best Ive had. Then we had the house ceviche appetizer and that was the best weve ever hadincluding from good restaurants in Chili and Peru where the dish originated. It was so delicious that we were glad for the side of rice so that we could pour it into the sauce to get every drop. The mains were also excellent. We had the Churrasco Criollo con Camarones (a thin, chargrilled steak with a fabulous Chimichurri sauce and shrimp with vegetables) and a delicious mahi mahi fish. Every bite was first rate. We even got a Pollo Mediterraneo to go for our daughter at home.We were so full that we couldnt handle a dessert. But we did enjoy a couple of caf con leches before we got back on the road.I hope that well end up in Ocala again soon. You folks there are lucky to have that restaurant in your community.
Disappointed!!!. My family and I went there for an early Valentines dinner. Everything seemed okay until we sat down and the rude waitress came over. Put it this way, don’t ask any questions because if you do, they get an attitude. If you ask for flexibility in the menu, you will get a sarcastic response. This is what I experienced with our waitress. And she never even asked what we wanted to drink, which is usually one of the first things a waiter/waitress should ask before ordering your meals. Not only was she rude and sarcastic, she refused to serve us so they sent another waiter to serve us. I was disgusted by the management. This place is not a place that will ever get my money again. It surely is not about the customer. The employees are always right in this place. I also ordered the grouper after asking our waiter was this a nice, light fish and him saying yes, and it was the worst fish I have ever eaten, took two bites and left the rest. So again, if you like bad service and okay food, than this is your place.
I held a birthday celebration here for a party of 20 and 2 birthdays. They split us into two tables, which did not seem necessary since there were other rooms and I reserved far enough in advance. Then the manager told us we could not be seated until all of our party arrived. We were cluttered by the door with the cold air coming in an it was awkward. So I asked him to seat who was there. Then we were told we were only allowed one flan per table for the birthdays. We had two tables but both birthday people were at the same table. Again i had to reason with them about how senseless that was. Then, the server told us adding gratuity on to parties of 8 or more was mandatory, which I know is not true. So he added it to my table and not the other table. The sever was sweet but seemed to be brainwashed by the manager. The food was good, I will say that. The ridiculous rules made me not want to bring my group back or recommended it to our broad audience. We normally choose a different restaurant each month and tell our 400+ members how the event went.
Went to dinner for my birthday. All was awesome. Service, food, prices were all very good
My new favorite restaurant!!! Everything (arroz con pollo, empanadas, flan and salad) was delicious!
Come with an empty stomach. Been to Latinos Y Mas a few times and never disappointed. The restaurant is usually packed, but the waiters are pleasant and pace the meal appropriately. We have always found the food to be delicious and well-cooked and seasoned — plus the portions are huge so you’ll have yummy leftovers for later, too. The paella — although one of the pricier items on the menu — is plentiful (can feed about 3 people!) and chock-full of meat and seafood.
