Great place, Great food. Give it a try =). It was my first time trying Pepe’s tonight & it was awesome! =) I ordered the chimichanga. The chips that come with the salsa are a bit thick & quite crispy but they were still really tasty. If I would have been driving down the road I definitely would not have picked this place. Do NOT let the locate keep you from giving this place a try. It’s real authentic Mexican food. The prices are pretty great also. For 2 adult meals & drinks we paid under $18. I’m definitely going back here & would recommend it to anyone!
This place is situated in the back of a Mexican grocery store and it is delightful.good service and tasty food. I recommend a visit to this nice little restaurant which features a pretty full menu. We ordered Enchiladas Suizas which is cheese enchiladas with rice and beans and quesadillas with steak. This is more along the lines of authentic Mexican food and again I recommend a visit if you are in or passing through Ocala, Florida.
Real deal. If you like authentic Mexican food from a restaurant owned and operated by Mexican-Americans, Pepe’s is your new digs. The people are nice, the prices are dirt cheap, and the food is truly authentic. This isn’t a big fancy eatery though. If you are overly judgemental or can’t stand being somewhere that is truly a slice of another culture, don’t bother going. Pepe’s is a Mexican market, not just a restaurant. Try the pastries, or wanted the few isles and buy something that looks good, it’s a fun experience and you never feel out of place of judged.
These aint your mama’s tacos unless she is from Guadelajara. REAL Mexican food, and so delicious! Try the Barbacoa torta, it’s amazing. Fresh ingredients an on premise butcher shop and tortilla factory makes this the real deal. This isnt Taco Bell, so take a walk on the wild side and try some their lengua (beef tongue) or barbacoa (beef cheeks), but they also have the standard fare for the less adventurous. Their condiments are freshly made try some of the salsa verde on your plate. Muy Authentico!
Awesome true Mexican food. This is no taco bell so if you have Americanized paladar this is not the place for you. Great food taste and very cozy place. Also very cheap!
Awesome,fresh & authentic Mexican
Good, authentic Mexican food. If you want real Mexican food, this is the place to go. It is in the back of a mexican market and so is definitely casual, but the food is fantastic. If you go on a week day for lunch it will be busy with local latinos and don’t be surprised if you don’t hear much English. Don’t let that make you head to the nearest Taco Bell, Pepe’s is worth the trip. Try the sopes – like an open faced taco on a thicker, crispy yet chewy tortilla. Deliciosos!
