Mediocre Thai. Not a lot of flavor and way too much gooey sauce. Had the ‘special’ which was disappointing. Look elsewhere if you are looking for good Thai.
Vegan and vegetarian choices. Royal Orchid has many vegetarian dishes–a large selection. As is common with Thai cuisine, a lot of these have scrambled egg. So be sure to ask for no egg if you’re a vegan.This is the best Thai in Ocala, and a nice restaurant run by nice people.
Worth getting off the interstate. Great Thai food. We were surprised when we got spring rolls and soup as a starter–we didn’t realize that they came with our lunches. We tried the Chicken Cashew Nut and the Gai Pad Prig. Both wee outstanding. The flavors in each were very different but a nice combination of spices. A small fried wonton dessert was included as well. Fast, friendly service. We will be back.
The best Thai food in town. I have eaten here since the days of it being called Thai Ruby. I have never had a disapointing meal. The Tom Ka Gai soup is my absolute favorite thing to eat ever. We are talking last meal on earth great. You can get everything mild, medium, hot and Thai hot. I have truly never had a bad meal here.

Best Thai in Town. LOVE Royal Orchid. The restaurant is very cozy, and everything on the menu is delicious. The pad thai is the best in town, and their curries are just divine. The entire staff is so lovely, greet you by name, and make you feel welcome and at home. A favorite weekly place to eat or take out.
Good Thai food. Comparable prices, fast service, great menu selection. Everyone in my party enjoyed the meal. I wasn’t crazy about the coconut ice cream (weird after taste), but I seemed to be the only one.
