Great memories. Growing up in Indiana, I had an ice cream parlor just like this one down the street. Friendly people, great product served with care and probably a bit larger than advertised. The quality of the ice cream is fantastic. I go once a week. Rain, shine snow (?)…well you get the idea.
To me, Scoops is an Ice Cream Addicts dream. They carry 50+ flavors, have seating for twenty some as well as a courteous and attentive set of owners and helpers. Paul, Anne, and their Daughter Amanda are the owners. This is NOT a franchise. They own it and they work it. Other shops in the area have begun making a play off of the Scoops store name apparently in an effort to attract customers away but folks still know where to go the get The Whole Scoop. Scoop portion sizes are large and are offered in four different types and sizes of cones. Their sundaes, shakes, splits, floats and so on are all equally well proportioned and quite reasonably priced.
