Had to ask for service to sit outside. My appetizer was delivered wrong. Prices and menu have changed from what is currently on here. Grumpy waitress. All around disappointment. Will not return.
I’ve been trying to think of something good to say about this place but I can’t. The food was sub-par, the service was not good, and the price was high especially for what we got. This is definitely a tourist trap that should be avoided. I gave it 2 stars because I have had worse, but I never returned to those places either.
Nice place to eat walked right up from the beach. Nachos were gigantic. We had a rum bucket that was good 32oz and catch of the day sandwich which was fresh grouper. It was cooked perfectly and the fries were awesome.
Terrible Food, Terrible Service. I went here for lunch on Saturday May 22 at noon after visiting the pier. The place was about 2/3rds empty. Was seated and waited 12 min for drink order, then it was wrong. The chicken sandwich was awful, too rubbery and it tasted like fish. Fries were so salty as to be inedible. Blegh.
Do not go here!!!. We have been to Angler’s several times (we are locals), only because it is by the beach and we could bring our dog there to eat in the outdoor seating area. However, after this last trip, we will never be back again. The food is overpriced, service is consistently very slow, and the quality has gone downhill over the past two years. The food is mediocre. The atmosphere is the worst of all. The crowd is loud mouthed, with kids screaming and running around in between tables. The parents either don’t care, or try to scream above the crowd so their kids hear them while running around the tables. During this last visit, we complained to our server about the kids and parents (our ears were ringing from the parents whistling at their kids, who were running around and into us while we were seated at the table for a 30+ minute period). The server suggested that we move to another table in the covered deck area. We were seated there 3 minutes, and a manager came out saying we couldn’t sit there because of the dog. He wanted to move us AGAIN, rather than confront the out of control patrons. We asked for to-go containers for our food, and he was very rude and tried to get us to move from the table immediately. We refused and said we were not going to move again, just to bring the check and to-go containers. The management was so rude, the patronage is trashy and loud-mouthed, and the food isn’t very good. They are NOT a dog-friendly restaurant. Do not go here! For the best dog-friendly service (and great food!!!) check out Harry-T’s in Destin. It is right on the Destin Harbor – you can pull up your boat, or just enjoy the view from your table. You can actually eat inside the restaurant with your dog, as they are state-approved and licensed for dog friendly dining.
Some of the dishes and drinks can be expensive, but the food is always pretty good.
Price vs food quality is off. I ordered a shrimp omelet,but no one took the time to shell them beforehand
