The view from our table was great! The food was mediocre at best, about what you would expect from a touristy place like this. The $9 margaritas in solo cups were over priced. The service was less than stellar. Had to ask for everything we needed, including silverware. The wait staff seemed perturbed that we were asking for something. Never got a refill on water and only a refill on drinks after navigating the wait staff again. $80 for this service for two guests was bad.
Disappointing. Just average food expensive for the quality. We spent $200 for 4 adults with alcohol. Some bright spots were the shrimp corn chowder, oysters raw and the chicken salad. Great atmosphere if you have noisy kids, teens with live music etc. VERY tourist orientated. The young waiter did not know what fresh fish was. The Cobia was the catch of the day and was served in squared portions.
We arrived on a cool, windy afternoon and found that business was slow. We were met by Rachelle, our waitress, and followed her recommendations. She made our day. Everything was too perfection. Servings were ample and delightful. Our experience was on par with some fine Sea Island establishments.
we went in just before closing. the server we had was awesome he was super sweet and very helpful. food was awesome we had the teriyaki chicken, fries, and hush puppies. chief did a fabulous job despite it being pretty close to closing time we actually wanted to thank him in person. we went back in 2014 so i cant remember our servers name but young blond haired and blue eyed and super sweet and helpful.
The short version is really good seafood at decent prices! We ate here after seeing them advertised while we were in town on vacation. A local also recommended Floyd’s. We were not disappointed. I had the all you can eat popcorn shrimp and fish, and it was much better than I thought it was going to be. Really good fresh shrimp, and the fish was fried just right; battered well and hot and flaky. The clam strips appetizer was really good. The price was not bad. I would pick this place over Dewey Destin’s every day of the week.
Food was ok. Not the best but not the worst either. The shrimp queso dip was good as was the bacon wrapped shrimp. Won’t go a second time on this trip but would again next time.
Nice beach front location. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, but it was average fried seafood at a ridiculous price. Bright spot was a great bartender & hand mixed margarita
