• Sudden Impact

  If possible to leave no stars, I would. I work as a manager in food service myself so I know things can get to be crazy, especially at a touristy place like Floyds. The issues had, however, were not due to busy rush periods. When we ordered our food, my chicken salad was told to me by our waiter that it would be grilled and showed up fried, my fathers taco came with a side of kitchen staff hair, and we constantly had to remind our waiter of what we had previously asked for. After spending a total of $200 on the bill, our waiter came up to our table and said theres live music at AJs (a nearby restaurant) but there were other people waiting on this table so if we could just go, that would be great. Funny, because I dont know of very many places too hopping busy at 9:15 on a Wednesday evening, not to mention the numerous empty tables around us, as well as indoor seating. On our way out we asked the hostess about the wait time and she said there was none. If he just wanted us to leave so he could end his shift, he should have just said that and maybe shouldnt be in servicing at all because despite however you may feel, you NEVER ask a customer to leave unless they are unruly or disruptive, to which neither applied to us. If youre looking for rude waiters, diluted drinks, hair in food, and an overpriced menu, then youve found your spot. If you arent in the mood for that, I would just keep on looking for something else; maybe Rockin Tacos or The Crap Trap or even Anglers, all right there on the beach. The scenery is great and I have never had a bad experience in any of those restaurants.

  Capts catch & grouper tacos both yummy. Asked for window view to watch the ocean waves (semi stormy), great atmosphere & wait staff. Vaca until Thur & may have to come back, so much yummy to try ……. sad no desert, unless keylime during off seasons

  Outstanding service and food was amazing! We frequent the Fort Walton/Destin area for years. Its been two years since our last visit. We are so glad to have found Floyds Fish House. We liked it so much, we went back-to-back nights and requested our server Angelia on the second night as she is just an awesome individual and server. Another incredible Floyds employee, Caleb was very respectful, polite, friendly and offered some advice on the menu when we were trying to make a decision on the first night. He was right on point with his advice and on our second night we had to opportunity to have him in our section as well, it was great making small talk with him during or visit. The General manager, Bailee introduced herself to us when we I wanted to let her know about what an incredible job Angelia and Caleb did for our family. Bailee runs a very tight ship and we Thank you for your accomplishments with Floyds!We had the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Snow Crabs, Surf and Turf. Floyds will be on our list of restaurants to visit when we return.
