We were looking for place to eat on Sunday since our go to place is normally closed. Had buddy at work mention this place so we said we would give it a try. The greet at the door by young man wasnt impressing – he said absolutely nothing and sat us at a table. Waiter showed up and things got better. Extremely nice and at ease with customers and attentive. We had lunch special for $11.00 fried shrimp (4) and grouper bites with fries and slaw and drink. Everything was fresh cooked and tasted excellent. Also tried the gumbo and it was tasty. I did not care for ice tea and cocktail sauce. My only complaints. We will definitely be back for second try.We have been several times after this review and have had great food. So its a go to place for lunch during week and weekends.

Had supper here because of good reviews on several sites. Really fresh well-cooked grouper, snapper, and shrimp. Cold beer. Great service. What’s not to like?

I have been very disappointed the last three times I have dined or taken-out food from Rick’s. Yesterday’s was awful…and I spent forty dollars plus tip. The food tasty like dishwater, all the same…don’t know if it was some seasoning I did not like or if something was wrong. When I arrived home, a few blocks away, everything was quite cold and my cole slaw and ice tea were not in the sack of packages. On St Patrick’s Day I went at lunch for the special holiday menu advertised and was told that would not be available until that evening. I have thrown the last 3 orders away, and yet I gave top stars in January. I won’t be going back for a long time. The seafood and steak tasted the same. Don’t know what has gone wrong the last two months but something definitely has. I do recommend the coconut cream pie. I kept thinking it would be good again, but it has been worse. One order was done on one side and not as cooked on the other (hushpuppies). I hope they can get back to the good status they originally had.
