My husband and I chose the lunch buffet for my birthday. We were concerned about negative reviews, but determined to give it a try. We were promptly greeted and seated with a smile. Our server took our drink order and brought beverages immediately. We arrived about half way through the lunch buffet to a busy dining room. The buffet was large, well stocked and well maintained and I noted the attendant checking and refilling as needed. Selections included nann, pakoras, Chutneys, an assortment of chicken and vegetarian entrees and rice and mango puddings. Everything was delicious and the Butter Chicken and Vegetable Korma were exceptional. All in all a lovely birthday lunch…delicious food, good value, excellent buffet selections and friendly service. We will be back!
A very pleasant experience!. My friend and I wanted some Indian food and thought we’d try Desi Tadka ……. in spite of some poor reviews. We were very glad we did. The samosas we started with were wonderful, and we could have easily made our whole meal with them. Enjoyed some garlic naan and the 4 sauces with our samosas did some double duty. We shared our main courses – lovely garlic tandoori shrimp and a very nice chicken biryani. Portion sizes were more than adequate. As we were determined to sample some dessert, we saved some room for kulfti – perfect! Joseph looked after us very well and willingly answered all our questions. His service was courteous and prompt. All in all a great evening. We will definitely be back.
Worst customer service. Lack of staff. Poor management. I would not recommend it to anyone. Prices are too high. Phones goes to faxes so can’t reach them.
No complaints!. I bought a Groupon for Desi Tadka, and then read the reviews and feared a bad night.But there was no cause for concern. Our server was pleasant, service timely without being bothering, and the owner came over for a pleasant post dinner conversation.We started with the lamb samosas…tasty and freshly fried and crisp. My wife ordered the Tandoori Shrimp, and shared with me. It was nicely spiced, and cooked just right. Grilled shrimp can easily be tough, but these nice sized shrimp were just right. I ordered Chicken Korma, and it was a lovely tasty light creamy sauce, with a bowl of basmati rice. Portions were plentiful without being too big. Topped off with a Taj Mahal, a very nice meal and evening.As good as Indian in London or Hong Kong? Maybe not, but for Florida, more than good enough. We’ll return.
The west food I have in Desi tadka in oldsmar and the service is fantasticI would personally recommend everyone to go there and check it out
We are British and Indian cuisine is THE most popular dining experience. We know our way around a northern Indian menu.The food was good but the service was simply terrible. The previous incarnation of this restaurant suffered from the same problem. We also had a take 2 coupon which was not honoured. I doubt even the lure of good food would entice us back!
Rude Management. Very bad customer service. These guys have no manners how to speak to their customer. Not at all customer friendly. They overcharge you and when you object or say your concern they start quarreling. Never going back!
