Eastlake cafe. Food and service is great. I work a12 hour shift as a nurse and I come here for breakfast quite frequently. Sally and Geraldine are wonderful servers. They know I am exhausted after a long night and the make sure I am served quickly. They are so kind and considerate that I love eating here every chance I get. Great food and Great Staff.27 Apr, 2013Eastlake cafe. I love going to this cafe. I probably eat breakfast there 3 times a week or more. I am always treated terrific. Sally and Geraldine make me feel like family. They know what I drink and they have it ready as soon as they see me come in. My whole family enjoys going there and we always leave very satisfied. Of course there will be a wait because THE FOOD IS AMAZING! I used to live in Oldsmar and now about 20 min away to eat here. Food and service is always great, including friendly waitstaff
Fresh food great service. East lake cafe is our favorite place to go in Palm harbor.I love the atmosphere and the fact that they are dog friendly. The staff are always friendly and efficient .31 Dec, 2012Breakfast heaven. Breakfast for me is the most important meal of the day,get that right and your day is off to a great start. I have been having my breakfast at The East Lake Cafe for many years and for me it is breakfast heaven. The food is always fresh and serve piping hot and the staff are attentive to my every need, I can be a bit fussy about this or that but they are always patient with me and are happy to chat with me if they are not too busy. I have tried other places for my breakfast but keep coming back here . Two thumbs up .
We went to ELC a couple of Sundays ago. It was raining so their outside sitting area was cut in half and a number of people waiting to be seated. We had been waiting for over 30 mins and saw a couple of tables free up along the glass wall outside. We went to ask what’s up and was told to just wait. Saw 4 different people just walk up and then sat on said free tables despite the fact others we’re waiting. It’s bad enough that they were so slow to clear and clean out tables that are open their waitresses don’t know how to sit people either. So disappointed and pissed we left despite the fact that our 4 year old was starving. Went to another place instead.
Bad waitress, good diner. I was the customer mentioned below in the previous review. The waitress named Salley was incredibly rude and I was so upset I couldn’t even eat my to go order. However, I called today and spoke to the owner and he was very receptive to my issue. He is giving me a gift card for my bad experience and will be speaking to the waitress. I have had many good experiences with this diner and other than that one waitress everyone else has been very polite. I just hope she doesn’t keep driving people away, but in all this is a great place to eat.
Service was incredibly rude. We had 4 different waitresses serve our table each one had a bad attitude. One in particular got in a screaming match with another customer. I asked for no melon with my meal they gave me only melon. They took the food back and had transferred it to a new plate. The food was gross a.d soggy I couldn’t even stomach it. Never coming back again.
Having been to ELC a few times I feel that it’s time for a review. Breakfast is over priced, if you sit next to the kitchen all you hear is the microwave going off constantly. I normally get biscuits and gravy because even though they Are not great the are the most consistent product the have from a food perspective. Coffee is fantastic cant really go wrong with Barney’s! The staff is terrible and would be the reason I don’t recommend this restaurant. Every waitress acts like we the customer is inconveniencing them. The young hostesses are the hardest working in the entire restaurant. I rate a 6/10.
