we were a little hesitant as the decor isn’t our style – but boy was it a great experience! Amazing customer service (the staff all came by for a little visit and our waiter was so awesome!) The food was delicious – especially the soups! We will be back.
It’s a hard review for me. I enjoyed my meal, how could you not it was crispy skinned duck. Our server was great. Super friendly and helpful. Although if I need to be critical the crab cakes were cool and so was my polenta. Yes I said polenta. I substituted the gnocchi for polenta (and even cool it was tasty). But little things like this make a great mea good, and a good meal, ok. All in all I would come back and to all its worth the try.
We wanted to like this place but…… I ordered the margherita pizza which really wasn’t a margherita pizza with barely any basil on it nor did it have sliced tomatoes like I’ve normally seen it. The other parties ordered the burgers; one chicken and the other the sirloin burger and quite frankly for the price I’ve had better burgers. The fries were over fried. The drinks were good though; I really liked the berry basil drink.
Wolfgang Puck in Dowtown Disney is incredibly confusing if you don’t know what you’re doing, and if you don’t know to ask, the staff does not explain it. When looking at the building, there is an Express counter to the left you can order from (not great), then when you enter the restaurant portion, there is a podium to check in. The first floor is the Caf, and the second floor is the Diner. We anticipated eating in the Diner but were seated in the Caf and just went with it. Even thought it is labeled as a Caf, there are full menu options and a waiter/waitress; the prices are more than your average restaurant as well! We ordered calamari for appetizer and were not impressed… The breading was not great and didn’t give them the proper greasy crunch. What was weird was there were pieces of chopped cauliflower battered and fried amongst the calamari which was not in the description and simply surprised us and took up space. They only have rings, no tentacles which was disappointing, but the green dipping sauce they were served with was great! I ordered the Salmon which had a great crisp to the outside and was a nice filet, but when served with the spinache, it had a strong salty taste; I wish it were served with some type of potatoe as well. My boyfriend ordered the bacon-wrapped meatloaf which I wish I had ordered as well because it was a perfecty matched meal! The sauce was very complimentary and kept the meatloaf from drying out, and there wasn’t too much and it wasn’t too BBQ’y. The only thing I wish was for the bacon to be crisped a little more. It was placed atop a small mound of potatoes and onion strings which paired nicely with the meatloaf and was a satisfying meal. The decor in the restaurant desperately needs to be redone… The tables seem cheap, and the seating is awkward and feels like a cafeteria which isn’t appropriate when spending $70 for two people. If I come back, I would want to try out the second floor dining option.
Great food. Been to heir grab and go and also the restaurant. Both a good. Lunch options are not cheap. The view of the lake at dinner can be very nice.
Very good but Charlotte better. We’ve been to Charlotte location many times where food is outstanding. This location’s food, at least what we had … Caesar salad and pizza, not up to that very high standard. Still very good but not quite the same. Would definitely return though.
Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf. It was pretty good! Awesome flavor. Broccoli had no flavor though.
