(6/27/2017) We have fond childhood memories of celebrations with Carvel ice cream cakes (birthdays, weddings, graduations, whatever) and were seeking out that experience in portable form before getting on a cross country flight. This Carvel is a stand in the food court in the Main Terminal (so you don’t need a plane ticket to access and can have your ice cream with your departing guests before they go). They have a limited number of flavors here, and it was pretty much some variation of vanilla and/or chocolate: Vanilla Fudge Swirl, Chocolate Marshmallow, Cookies and Cream, Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate Marbled, and of course, the one we really wanted, they were out of, Vanilla Chocolate Crunch. I got a soft serve (which was very soft and kind of warm for ice cream), my sister got 2 scoops in a waffle cone (it’s always the skinny ones who are bottomless pits). We reminisced and had ice cream and life was good.
