(2/20/2018) Stopped in for an easy weekday lunch close to opening (11:00 am). You def want to beat the lunch rush here; 1) for parking; 2) for seating; 3) length of time for food prep. It’s small and divey, there seems to be a small kitchen hidden somewhere. Place is apparently popular with contractors (parking lot was full of their trucks) and gringos alike. What you really come here for are the tacos. They’re small, made with handmade corn tortillas, doubled up, like in Mexico. Don’t complain about the size, just get a lot of them (I overheard one guy order 15). Best is the array of meats you get for those little tacos. I started easy, Adobada (chunky), Chorizo (spicy), and Chicharron (fatty). Was looking forward to Lengua, but they didn’t have it that day, next time def going for Cabeza and Buche. My dining companion went for a Barbacoa Burrito. He really enjoyed the highly seasoned, moist, shredded beef. The Burrito was fairly substantial, plump with rice, beans, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions. You should avail yourself of the fixings bar, just the right accoutrements, white onion, cilantro, radishes, salsa verde, lime wedges. BONUS: housemade Horchata, which they keep in a deep pitcher stashed away in the popsicle cooler. It was super sweet, but tasty. Prices are right, food is legit.
Great true Mex tacos. You can feel the family ownership with the great service. Not a typical chain restaurant but true Mex. Le recomiendo para llevar a su familia ya que es muy econmico con Tacos a $1.25 podrn comer como reyes.
YUMMY!!!. The food is VERY good and very affordable. I love their barbacoa tacos and the adobada tacos. Try the caldo de pollo (chicken soup), caldo de res (beef soup). The chile relleno is very tasty. Whenever posible and if available try the caldo de albondiga (meatball soup) OMG you will love it! Prices for the tacos is only $1.25 and you get plenty of meat with a friendly smile. Parking could be a little tricky do, you park on an angle and sometimes other drivers seem to park terribly. Other than that is a place you can take your whole family after church on a Sunday or any day of the week for that matter. The place is run by a family, and pride is their first approach.
Awesome, if you are anywhere close- stop by- amazing…….
