THE PITS. I cant believe I just paid $16.22 for a veal parm sub! It was the by far the most horrible veal I’ve ever had. Gristle in the veal< no sauce or cheese. STAY AWAY!

Tried Mario’s for the first time last night. Party of 7 gave us a secluded booth and all we had to do was enjoy. Of the 7 we had 3 Italians…all agreed the food was great. Service was excellent. This one is definitely on the list when we come to the beach.

Great Food. We dine out frequently and haven’t found a better Italian restaurant. The food is excellent, but the service leaves mjuch to be desired. We recently took friends there for an evening of dining and conversation. The servers seemed to be in a rush to get us out. One server took my salad before I was ready. Another came by right after we received our main course and asked if we were ready for boxes. Our friends were impressed with the food and the ambiance, but also commented on the service. This restaurant is worth returning to in spite of the poor service.

We might have gone on a bad night. We live around here and have not been in years, maybe because it’s not on our minds… Hard to find building. Out of date decor will bring you back to the 70s. We stood at the host desk for a good 5 minutes, then had to practically trip a bus boy to ask him if someone was working the front. No bartender to ask either. When the hostess came, she bordered rude as she sat us. Another 5 minutes the busboy poured us water and sighed heavily as he rushed off. Another 5 minutes the waiter appeared. He also seemed very rushed. Never asked if we wanted cocktails. Service was better after that and he was apologetic. In their defense, they appeared to have a huge party in one of the rooms. Food was good old Italian food and portions were huge. Bread was out of this world good. Cannoli was good, also. We will go again. Hopefully service tonight was a slip up. I do think prices are a bit high and that should be reflected on this website. And, time for some new decor. Restaurant rescue would have a field day here.12 Jul, 2013We might have gone on a bad night.
