Here’s $45 worth of AWFUL food from this place. Literally everything we tried was inedible. The chicken pad Thai may have been the worst I have had anywhere in the world. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Red Bistro Bowl, Port Orange: Good variety of Asian style foods with a varied selection of Chinese, Thai , Korean and Japanese. I have tried a couple of their styles and found both to be very good ( Chinese and Thai). Price a tad bit higher but quality that I have experienced is worth the extra buck or two. I have not dined in on the two occasions I have used them recently.

Not Coming Back. We have been coming here ever since they opened and tonight the Tempura was like an oil slick. Not sure if it is a change of chefs or management, but every time we come here there are less people and the food keeps getting worse. Time to just say enough is enough and stop coming and paying for bad food. Ill bet that this place will be closed within a year.

Terrible Start for a New Restaurant!. First, the good news: It took a long time to rebuild this location from scratch, but when it finally opened, we were impressed. A formerly run-down Chinese restaurant emerged as a very impressive place to dine.Unfortunately, though, that’s the only good news. On a scale of 1 to 5, this restaurant probably deserves no more than a 2. We’re always apprehensive when a restaurant tries to appeal to several fans of Asian food. Red Bowl failed miserably. We tried offerings from the Chinese and Japanese portions of the menu, and neither choice was impressive. The Iced Tea was so weak that it was tasteless. A chicken dish that we ordered was a beef dish that we had to exchange. The Server (we use that term loosely) did not deliver the noodles and dip that was part of our order, so we had to remind him. Several other Servers were just standing around looking bored, since there were only two other parties in the restaurant at about 5:00 pm. Someone has made a very expensive investment in this restaurant, but word gets around fast when the reviews are bad, so I hope that they can fix it, but in the future, we’ll patronize the Wok ‘n Roll Chinese takeout across the street, which delivers quality food at a price that is about 40% of what Red Bowl is charging.

Great when it first opened. Been there 7 times. Worse every time. I’m done.

Menu way too varied to be great (Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese). Have been waiting for this restaurant to open for like ages now and was so eager to give it a try. So we popped in for a Sunday lunch, and there was no crowd, which was a red flag, but we were seated quickly and in a friendly fashion. We ordered 2 unsweet iced teas and proceeded to look at the menu and then our eyes spun with the massive menu and so much variety of cuisines, we were perplexed at to what this place was trying to specialize in or be known for cuisine wise. Our iced teas arrived and we both took a sip and sad to each other – UGH.. so ordered a soda. We decided on Fresh Rolls from the Vietnamese menu, then Pad Thai and Panang Curry from the Thai section, which are menu items we test any new place claiming to be Thai. The Pad Thai came with Japanese rice noodles, not Thai noodles (ding), but just OK. The Panang was better, but lacking in herb like lemon grass or basil, so again just OK.. We also were excited to see Bento boxes on the menu, but quickly that changed to shocked faces as they provide Bento Boxes with pick your CHINESE entre options, which Bento boxes are JAPANESE with teriyaki, tempura, rice, fruit and some have a California roll.. So, we both said, good luck Red Bowl Asian Bistro, pick a cuisine and try to be authentic for that genre.. So sadly not returning…
