Use to be my favorite restaurant but havent been for a while. Wanted some of their conch chowder. It was no longer on their menu. It was the best and made like in the Keys. They no longer had their incredible onion rings on the menu either. The menu was bla looking. It use to pop. Cant say Ill be going back.
Not my fave. We’ve gone there once. I was very excited – the location on the river is so nice and I had been wanting to go forever. Cute place, great interior. BUT . . . I ordered some kind of fish, I don’t remember what it was, but when it arrived it was very oily – not coated in oil, but the actual grilled fish was oily throughout. I thought it wasn’t cooked, so kindly showed the waiter, he took it back (very promptly and with a nice attitude) to cook some more. When it was brought back, it was the same. I couldn’t even eat it. So I didn’t eat it and we were disappointed. Would have to be careful with the menu if we go back.
Frank ‘ s Platter for two!!. I highly recommend the Frank ‘ s platter for two! It is a mountain of peel and eat shrimp, 2 lbs crab legs, little bit of sausage, steamed mussels, hush puppies, red potatoes (not that great though by the time you plow through the crab legs and shrimp), and coleslaw. $47.99 and easily feeds two and could feed three if you weren’t terribly hungry. Two of us shared this and didnt even get to the potatoes or hush puppies AND still took home a large amount of shrimp. The service was amazing! Don’t pass this mountain of deliciousness up! You will need the bib they give you so you can dive in!!!
I am surprised by all the negative reviews. The appetizers are fabulous ( crab dip and fried vegetables). Likewise, the River Platter and Mahi were tasty. The view is gorgeous, and the place has a fun atmosphere. The staff was very attentive. Worth a try.
Omg!!!. Omg!!!! The smell that was coming off of my table smelled like fresh throw up!!!! I seriously was about to coat it with my own!!!!!! Has to be the most godaweful smell!!!! I am forever scarred by the stinch!!!! Will never return!!!EVER!!!!!!
Wonderful food, great waitstaff, and delicious food!My husband and I decided to stop at Rivergrille while visiting Daytona Beach for the Turkey Run and we loved it! It was busy but we we’re say down right away in the heated patio, which was lovely. I got the Atlantic Seafood Pasta and it was nearly more seafood than noodles (which is amazing!) and my husband got an all you can eat fried fish plate and it was only $14! The prices are awesome. The appetizers we tried we’re also really good! We would definitely recommend.
Try and try again. Against my husband’s warning, I ordered dinner to go after spending all day on the road. Two seafood combinations. 20 minutes, not bad – one meal is waiting for me. The girls up front were very nice, sorry, we will get you another one. Told them I didn’t want to wait for another meal while one gets cold – they said we’ll reheat the first one. Come on people, fried seafood reheated… Well, made the decision to take what was ready for my husband and make myself a sandwich instead. I get home husband opens the box, WOW!!! What has happened to the portions: one piece of fish, 4 shrimp and 4 scallops for $20. They weren’t jumbo either. Over the years I have had bad food, bad service, and occasionally average or even good food and service at RiverGrille. I find it so inconsistent, I will NEVER go back after this time. No more $$’s from me, nor will I ever recommend it or take customers there again.
