So so sushi. Ordered three different sushi rolls; waitress screwed up order and brought out one we didn’t order. Small portions for a high price. Have better sushi back home in Muncie, IN.
The sushi is the worst I’ve ever had. We ordered a $14 spicy tuna roll and it was terrible. I thought they put a sauce of some sort in the roll and realized it was just the very mushy tuna. Disgusting. My husband ordered sashimi and the fish was cut in very thick chunks. The place is in a hotel so you pay for convenience, but the food was terrible. It also left a really bad garlicky/spicy taste in our mouth. We went to the sports bar and ordered fries to try to make the bad taste go away. I’ve had better sushi from a high-end grocery store for half the price. Be prepared for kids running around and people walking by in swimsuits. I wouldn’t come here if I was not staying at the hotel. You will be disappointed.
What can you say about a Gaylord restaurant? How many ways can you say SUCK? Sora is probably the best restaurant in the hotel but that doesnt say much. A party of ten is tough but service was scattered like everything else in this place. A very limited menu. The nigiri standards of maguro tuna, salmon, and yellowtail were fine. The dumplings were excellent. The rolls were heavy on rice, thin on fish, with rubbery nori. The exception was the lava roll which was loaded with shellfish. The curry crab soup got mixed reviews; it was very rich. I could have eaten a gallon of it myself. This place is really about selling ridiculous cocktails for $15.
Sushi with a touch of class.. Located at the beautiful Gaylord Palms hotel . The place to go for great Sushi and Cocktails .Wonderful decor with a Southbeach flair.
Very expensive average sushi. Trendy dcor.
