Positives first: service was outstanding. The high level of thoughtful, attentive service stood out. And the negatives: the wine machine wasnt working properly, working for some people and not for others. The self serve wine machines make this restaurant unique, so it was a shame to see them having problems. Food portions were micro sized with the $30 meal option. On top of that, we ordered our steak med-rare and received it med-well, which makes a big difference for a filet. Also, the flavor of the steak was completely drowned out by an excessive blanketing of black pepper. The ahi tuna was similarly drowned with buffalo style seasoning. One last note. There were beer choices on the menu that were no longer being served. Not a big deal, but you may want to ask what they have before deciding on a beer. Maybe thats just what I deserved for ordering beer at a restaurant that focuses on wine…
Love it. Wonderful servers that all work together! Food is unique and changes so it doesn’t get boring. So glad we have something in oviedo that is not a boring bland chain restaurant. Only thing to make it better would be a longer happy hour because I can’t get thru traffic in time to make it every day.
