What a disappointment. We just moved to Oviedo from NJ/NYC area. We were looking for good pizza (not a chain). We tried Mad Hatter’s and wow was that a let down. It looks like they cooked the dough by running it thru a machine and cut a circle out of it to make a pie. They sure as shooting do not throw it in the air to make a real pie (although I would have thrown it out). I would not recommend this AT ALL.
The best italian restaurant there is. Better yet, the best restaurant there is! Their food is not only deleicious but the prices are good, the waitress is very friendly, and they have so many options! The first time I ate there, I got a simple pizza slice with spinach. The slice was HUGE! I mean, I was only able to eat about 3/4 of it and I had left overs since I didnt want to waste any. Eggplant parmesan is one of my favorite foods! Lo and behold, they have it. Scrumptious it is too! I wish they would expand their shop though, maybe get an outdoor area and advertise. They would go so far. A one-of-a-kind restaurant, though since it is family owned. The down sides? Only one: I want to keep going back and eat their food even when I’m full. Go there. You won’t regret it.

Strombolis!. I gotta say for a little Pizza shop in Oviedo, this place is great! The owner/server was extremely friendly and helpful. She had no problem customizing our choices, and even had great suggestions. I went there for lunch with 3 coworkers, and between us we had many variations of Strombolis and Calzones. The only difference between the two is that the calzone has Ricotta in it.I have to say the food was excellent, decor was kitschy, and server fantastic. The only complaint would have to be the amount of time it too to get the food. There were only two other patrons in for lunch and it took a while.
Uncommonly good pizza!. As a college student for the past three years, living in the Orlando area limited my choices for a decent pizza place. I ordered from this place one night (pick-up) and came in, the service was nice and prompt, and my pizza was ready. The shop seemed like a little hole in the wall type of place so I was excited to try my food. When I got home I opened up the large cheese and this thing was awesome. Bubbly cheese and great looking crust reminded me of Pizza-Hut but with a home-made type of feel to it. The sauce was great as well and if you order the garlic knots they come with some of the best marinara sauce I’ve ever had. The Garlic knots usually are very good. I’ve ordered from Mad Hatters about 10 times and I’ve ordered them each time. Out of those 10, I probably got 3 mediocre orders of garlic knots BUT, with that said they are soft, with fresh garlic, and usually cooked to perfection. Overall I would definitely order Mad Hatters…Their pizza is usually high quality, fresh, and full of flavor. The owners seem very nice and let me go through the back one night when it was raining, they’ve also given me a discount, very nice people!
