Read about this restaurant while driving down and decided to explore. The first time in an asian restaurant run by jews, manned by latinos. The place is kosher. The placed was full when we got there around 8:00PM. We got a couple of starters to sample: the crunchy roll(crab meat), and the Trio platter sample. Both were good.Chicken fried rice was ok. Mongolian steak was a big cut that was shared by all. Served with Rosary Roasted potatoes & grilled veggies. Very flavorful. The Fried Ice cream was a very large portion to be shared as well.Cipriano was very attentive. It’s pricey.11/30/15
Poor service and mediocre food. Ordered a sushi dinner, which included a choice of rolls, so I requested a spicy salmon roll. we waited a good 20 minutes for our food to come out, and when it arrived mine had a regular salmon roll, after waiting and waiting to get the waiter’s attention I let him know I had ordered a spicy salmon roll. His reply, oh it’s not spicy? um, no because it’s a plain salmon roll. he says, would you like some Siracha? I say, I’d prefer to have a spicy salmon roll, as that’s what I ordered. He literally makes that annoyed sound and rolls his eyes. wait another 10 minutes,he brings out THE spiciest salmon roll, which was basically a salmon roll with large pieces of jalapenos and smothered in Siracha! I love spicy, and my daughter is a hot food fanatic, neither one of us could eat it. Well, be careful what you wish for. they don’t know Japanese sushi! He then added his own gratuity at 18% for two diners???
Fair at best. I wish I can give Asia a 5 star review. We dined here sunday evening. The sushi at one time was the best in kosher,no longer that way. I know that they have a new sushi person but come on did no one check the chefs work out first. PRESENTATION!!! The girls up front seemed frazzled and not sure how to accommodate a wheel chair. I believe one girl is the owners daughter which explains the cell phone. The chinese was okay, very tasty although some dishes were bland. We waited a long time for food, and the manager had one excuse after the next, parties take out was busy not my problem. If Asia does not make some major changes and hire some quality staff they wont make it more then 1 more season. Too many kosher choices today to have to settle for over priced and fair food.07 May, 2012Poor Service. We dine at Asia on a regular basis, the food is good but the service is horrific. This is not a new problem but a persistent one.We use to believe because they were so busy this happened, but they were not busy on our last visit. The staff seems to be more interested on what is on the television, or fooling around with one another then providing customer service. We asked to speak with the manager whom we were told was unavailable yet he had no problem shmoozing with other guests. With more and more kosher options Asia needs to step it up or say goodbye. My personal feeling either bring back Elana or get new management.
Not enjoyable. Sadly Asia was at one time a great place for Kosher Sushi, they had a manager/hostess that made you feel like you were the only guest that mattered. This was the first and only time I felt like I was in a kosher restaurant that really treated us right. Our food was not great but not to bad. My sushi was still as good as I remember, the pad thai was okay, I had to send my steak back. Our server really tried hard to please us. Not sure if they are under new owners. Bring the blonde back she rocks.
Awesome Food. The service was prompt, and the soups and main courses were great. I had the Hanger Steak special, which is probably one of the best Kosher steaks I’ve ever had. If you are observant, AND FOOD ORIENTED, check this place out. Yes it is crowded, but the place must be doing something right to be packed on a Tuesday.
If your not Jew your not welcomed!. My boyfriend and I had dinner here for the 1st time & will never return. From the moment we walked in the door we recieved stares from the manager and patrons. The resturant did not say Koaser style so we figured it was open to all. The manger stood right by our table and not once did he smile or even greet us. As far as the food goes, the sushi was good and the chicken lettuce wrap as well but when we got the the main dish I have to say I was not impressed. I ordered the chicken lo mein and didn’t not like the flavor it was more on the sweet side. I informed the waiter that I did not like the dish and figured he’d remove it from our check but he said his manager would not, even though It was pretty obvious that I didn’t touch it. Rather than arguing about a $15 dish we just paid for it anyways. If they want to lose customers over a mere $15 dish then I would just rather not give this Jew’s welcomed only restuarant my hard earned money. So heads up if your not Jew your not welcomed!!!
NEVER AGAIN !!!!!. This was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for a family member who is almost 90 years old. After arriving on time for our reservation we were neglected, for over 50 minutes. At this point we had to get up and walk up to the greeter to ask for the manager to come to our table to explain the problem. This seems to be a pattern at this place. This mythic manager we were told was busy preparing our food, and as such was unavailable. OK, we said just prepare it to go, as we didn’t want our birthday celebrant to have to endure any further disappointment. Well you can guess what happened- NO FOOD NO MANAGER. Only way to get their attention is to patronize other restaurants that understand the meaning of fine kosher dining- SAVE YOUR MONEY EAT ELSEWHERE !!!!
