Bad vibe, bad service, good sushi. The moment my husband, daughter and I walked into the restaurant we got a bad vibe. It was fairly full, but no one looked happy. We ordered beer and sushi to start things off. The Sapporo was $6 for a 16 ounce bottle. The beer served was a 12 ounce bottle. When my husband asked if there would be a price adjustment, our waitress played stupid by repeating that they did not have 16 ounce bottles, only 12. When I finally asked her if the price would be cheaper, she said, no. Then, our sushi arrived sans any plates. We patiently waited for our unsmiling waitress and asked her for some plates.The sushi was solid. We had hamachi, tuni, and uni. Only the uni appeared as though it had been prepared using a butter knife. Usually, presentation is key to serving uni. This uni tasted good but was all chopped up. We were going to order more food, but we didn’t want to spend any more money in such an unpleasant place. We won’t be returning.
Shingo’s – best sushi outside of japan. I normally wouldn’t t review a restaurant unless the food and/or service was atrocious. However, it would be a travesty for me not to make an exception with Shingo’s. I’m a self-professed foodie and have lived and traveled all over the US and throughout the world. With that said, Shingo’s is hands down, the single most amazing sushi experience I’ve ever had. I would not even put Nobu in the same league as Shingo’s. If you know your sushi, and you want amazing, inventive dishes, using the freshest, highest grade sushi, go eat here. Yes, it’s in Wellington, but it might as well be Tokyo. The white tuna sushi and the creephead roll are both insane. Order the wahoo and salmon, as well. The only way their sushi could be any fresher is if it was swimming.
You must try it. I’ve been enjoying Shingo’s sushi for years. Most authentic flavor and presentation in Palm Beach area. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful.
Waste of money. We didn’t try the sushi but the teriyaki chicken and steak were bland, not mention overpriced. One spoonful of the miso soup was all i could take. First and last visit.

No frills, just top notch Sushi. I have a take-out menu from Shingo’s. Over the course of three years, I’ve tried a different item each time I’ve eaten there, then noted a comment on my menu. Reviewing my comments, there are NO negatives! World travelers eat here. Japanese ex-pats eat here. If you demand authentic sushi/sashimi, try Shingo’s.
