Awful Food – Bad Service. My mother asked for water with no ice – the waitress brought water with ice and was asked to bring another water. She glared at my mother and snatched the water from the table and stomped off.The soup had no flavor, the matzoh balls were uncooked in the middle. I ordered brisket – they cut it paper thin and it was grey – My sister ordered chicken Marsala and the Marsala had not been cooked out – she does not drink and the raw alcohol in the sauce was too much – the waitress apologized and said she would send the owner over – he was so rude – we said that brisket for dinner was not normally cut paper thin and was not normally grey and the Masala he said was cooked down … and then said hed been doing this 20 years and so he should know and walked off! If you like bad food and rude service, try it – if you appreciate good food and service – STAY AWAY!
My husband has had gastric bypass & can literally only eat certain foods/portions. He asked to have a small amount of chicken salad as his meal. The waitress argued they are not allowed to do that as deli items can’t be in the dining area (odd rule). She offered the platter or sandwich which he can’t eat half of the items, let alone the amount of food. He explained it’s a huge waste of food. The manager then came over & proceeded to argue with my husband that it’s against their policy to have any deli items in the dining room. My husband advised him of his issue & he refused to accommodate at all. So my husband left. We had a full table & he felt it was worth losing customers over this. We have always liked this place before but, now will never return. I’m going to be sure to let everyone I know in Boca to NOT come here.
Nothing To Write About!. I have eaten here about 3 times. Others seem to enjoy this deli more than myself. Today, seemed to be my best meal if you can call it best. The open-faced turkey sandwich was good-not great. The fries were just ok.The others at my table ate stuffed cabbage which they said was good and a tongue open-faced sandwichwhich didn’t look appetizing, but tasted nice. While others seem to like the food-I still don’t find it terrific. The waitress seemed to have it on the ball-she was pleasant and got the food out pretty fast. I wouldn’t say itsbad, but I wouldn’t say its good either.
Zinger. Gary sure puts in a zing…but its certainly not in quality, freshnes, service or management.!
PICKLES. I have actually seen them do this as well…the servers don’t even take the time to go into the kitchen to do so!
A GREAT PLACE THAT COULD USE SOME IMPROVEMENT. As a regular customer who enjoys going to Zinger’s, there is a serious lack of consistency in the food. One day you can get a fantastic dinner and the next time it’s practically inedible. Certain dishes are not always prepared properly. Service is spotty; sometimes the wait for the meal is longer than others. Aside from a couple of exceptional servers, the rest of the wait staff is mediocre to poor, forgetting to bring things, disappearing, etc. when the place is not even busy.Based on some negative experiences, I find myself less enthusiastic about going back. If the owners take these suggestions seriously, they could really turn things around as there is virtually no competition in the area.
Good and bad. Im a vegetarian, and i always like to try a new veggie burger, especially when its made in house, (as opposed to an already frozen patty).In essence, the burger was very good, but the bun was downright awful!The bun was a simple white kaiser bun, void of taste, and dry like powder. I had to eat the burger alone. I told the staff that they need to use a dufferent bun, prefarbly a whole grain variety.
