Japnese people make Japanese food better.. This restaurant is a typical Japanese restaurant owned by a Japanese family. When you sit at sushi Bar you will be dealing with chef/owner the COO. If are seated in the dining room his boss Akemi the CEO will take care of you. They have some funky Americanized sushi but the owner/chef will prepare your sushi however you like. Menu is pretty standard and the price is reasonable. Nothing fancy nothing exotic but overall food quality is above average. This is the place if you like to try decent Tempura.
Best Sushi place around. Owners are from Japan and have been here for many years. They take pride in the food quality. There’s a nice happy hour menu, as well. The aged tofu is phenomenal!!!
Ebisu was good. They have a nice variety of rolls, both specialty and traditional, and the nigiri pricing is great. Our servers were a little hard hard to find on occasion, but the place was pretty busy. Our one complaint was the rolls were not wrapped very tight. Every roll fell apart…every roll…which also made them quite huge and even I could not eat them without biting off chunks. Roll them tightly and this place would be great.
Great happy hour specials including $1 nigiri and $3.50 rolls!
I thought the sushi was horrible compared to other places. Sushi Yama has the best tempura I’ve ever had. Sushi Yama gets really busy so you have to go early. I don’t recommend this place & don’t understand how some of the celebrities on the wall like it either.
Loved it!!! Waaaaay better service than Yumi sushi and better food too. Great menu. Very interesting rolls. Can’t wait to go back! I. Hesitated to write a review because we want to keep it to ourselves!!
The sushi was fairly bland. I’d really only go here if there weren’t any other local Japanese restaurants.
