bakery is not made on site and is not fresh. we’ve picked up cookies to find that they were previously frozen and were thawing. today ordered an ‘italian rum cake’ – no rum and cake was frozen in center – to add to the bad experience today’s pizza was burned on the bottom – so tired of calling and complaining when it doesn’t go right – checking out Carmine’s instead next time…..there’s other places a bit of a drive away but may be worth it
Wish I’d discovered them earlier in my 3 month visit here!! Good selection of meals for two that include entres and 2 sides. Then there’s the lovely fruit & veggie dept. The meat case is as good as you’ll find in the best speciality markets. We recently tried several varieties of sausage that were awesome. A nice cheese case and bakery round out the serious food categories with the deli. Throw in a few short aisles where you can grab those little necessities of life like napkins, pasta sauce and tuna and this place hits a home run. You can even grab a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine to go with that great dinner for two. All at decent prices too. You really need to shop here. Seriously.
