Questionable Service and Management. The food fantastic, no matter what you order. However, the night time management and bar service is a crapshoot. By this I mean, when you sit at the bar, there are only a few bartenders (Jordan, Tia, and Dawn) that have any personality, provide exceptional service, and display excellent customer service skills. Good luck with the others. The same goes with the managers if you should ever need their assistance. The big guy with the glasses that stands and googles the pretty young girls behind the reception desk is totally useless, and has zero customer service skills. Table service has always been good.
I really enjoy eating here. I’m a regular, and I keep coming back. The food was delicious, and I always receive friendly service. I would recommend this place to anyone wanted exceptional food and a great dining experience!
Their version of garlic bread, very nice, outstanding. The grilled calamari was stupendous, well worth the trip, I enjoyed it extremely. The linguini and clams in white sauce was ok. The linguini was overcooked and the sauce to thin and runny, good attempt but misses the mark. Loved the bartenders uniform, outstanding and I can not wait to return.
The Delray restaurant was generally a bad experience. It is not as good as the Palm Beach Gardens location. Our waiter was like a used car salesman, trying way too hard to up sell, and actually adding an entree size cesar salad when we asked for a side salad to accompany the penne ala vodka (the penne btw was very average at best). The groupon is a complete rip off, so don’t get it. I saved only $10 when the groupon promised a $50 meal for $24. It is very misleading bc the groupon purports to offer 2 entrees values at up to 20.95 in value each, but no entree on the menu costs that much. I ordered the eggs Benedict for $18.95, a huge rip off for an average dish that came with a small green salad instead of hash towns, and 2 tiny pieces of bad tasting lobster. So the groupon I paid $24 for only got us $35 worth of food. And considering how over priced it was, I def lost $. Their sodas are a tiny 8 oz bottle of coke they claim has a $5 value. Ridiculous. I spent most of the meal discussing the various pricing and waiter problems with my party; stressful, unpleasant, disappointing.
Very disappointed by my experience last night. Should have known better to order a steak, but the waitress assured me that their steaks were fantastic. Ordered a NY Strip medium rare and what I got was a tiny, tough steak that was overcooked with a ton of grizzle on it. If that wasn’t bad enough, when the dish arrived I asked where the potatoes were and the waitress said we don’t have them anymore. Seriously – you serve a steak without any type of potato? Gotta admit – I was really bummed about the whole experience. It’s a beautiful restaurant but the food left a lot to be desired.
It’s a shame that this place is under new management. No personal feel like there used to be. V&A used to feel like my family dining room! Now Im made to feel like a newcomer. Really sad. The new Supper Club is slowly becoming my new fav. Very welcoming. It’s sad though.
Horrible Wine List. Food – 7 or 8 out of 10. burrata app was fresh and very tasty. whole grilled bronzino was fresh, well grilled, but HUGE portion. Over a pound of fish. Glad my wife and I shared!Service – 5 out of 10. food came quickly. too quickly. we had finished our appetizer before we even got wineWine list – 1 out of 10, only because they had one, so i can’t give a zero. mediocre grocery store stuff. For whites, If you like Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay, you are all set. Otherwise, you’re pretty much out of luck. WAAAY overpriced. Industry standard us 2x retail. They are 3x give or take on everything. No vintages on the wine list. I thought I would be safe and order a bottle of one of the by the glass offerings… wrong… 2008 vintage! When 2010 is available in stores. So I asked what he had that was current… 20 minutes later he came back with an answer. After appetizer was already finished. In the end, we paid $38 for a $12 grocery wine. Totally disappointing. We won’t be back
