Donuts. Stopped in over the weekend for some doughnuts and was not disappointed. They were enjoyed.
Really disappointed with this visit. Ran out of plates and coffee mugs. Also the majority of the items. Not to mention the service was less than subpar.
Ok… Overpriced
Custom Cakes Amazing. We have ordered two custom cakes at different times for 2 events. Each time the cakes were absolutely amazing and deliciously perfect. The first cake the owner helped us with the design. She happened to be at Dough working at a table and spent a good half of an hour. The second time the cake baker Kim ( I think this was her name) consulted with us and took the order. Super product. Super service. My only destination now for cakes!
No return. Stopped by on my way to work for treats to celebrate an office birthday. There were 3 people behind the counter and one appeared dedicated to coffee. The other 2 servers were waiting on one person. Another customer and I waited patiently until it was our turn. My server was minimally informative in answering questions about the selection and seemed in a hurry to move on with my order despite the fact that there was no one waiting behind me. Some of the selections looked old and dry. The box of doughnuts came to $40. They were average at best and not worth the expense or suffering the lack of service! Would not go back when there are better options available nearby!
What’s the deal here?. My husband and I LOVE Datz, so we decided to try Dough for lunch. We admired the baked goods in the glass cases and sat ourselves at a table. We waited…and waited…and waited, yet not one server came to our table. The table next to ours received lots of attention from several servers, but we felt like we were invisible! After almost fifteen minutes, we left and nobody noticed, nobody cared. I can’t attest to the quality of the food because we never got any. So what IS the deal here? Were we supposed to order from the counter? Were we not supposed to seat ourselves? If so, it sure would have been nice to know one way or the other with, maybe, a sign at the door or a prompting from the crew.
Trendy South Tampa bakery and coffee shop…. It is what it is, Datz Dough is a trendy South Tampa bakery and coffee shop. Dough does deliver some very good doughnuts and pastries in a very hip dining area. This is certainly not the quintessential dining experience in Tampa but it is a fun little spot to indulge in some very sinful and decadent delights. If you cant find something to delight in here then you really need to check your pulse. Whats not to love about a maple bacon doughnut?
