What I liked about Dough was that they had a large selection of truly inspired donut and dessert flavors. Anyone can make a cake donut. Anyone can stuff that cake donut with some blueberry flavoring. But most places can’t do a donut that is covered in apple and caramel glaze. Or Oreos, bacon and cereal. The only other places I’ve ever visited that is even remotely close to Dough and their experimental donut flavors is the Sheetz chain of gas stations in Central PA (trust me, this is not your typical gas station) and the Frosty Llama in Dillsburg, PA.We left Dough carrying a cake donut with apple and caramel glaze, a donut covered with icing and crushed Oreos and a gigantic chocolate cupcake. Both J-Fur and I were impressed that the looks of these desserts were so deceiving. We thought that all the icing and add-ons (caramel glaze/crumbled cookies) meant that these desserts would be super sweet. But the donuts themselves seemed to be slightly less sweetened than your typical donut. That meant that Dough could get a little more sugary with the toppings and icing without passing the sweetness overload point. Overall, great stuff. We didn’t touch any of the extensive drinks that Dough has to offer. Like their donuts, these drink flavors seemed to be unique and inspired. I think a return visit is in order to sample some of those. writeclickcooklisten.blogspot.com

Disappointed. Dirty tables, slow service — place was empty, with four people behind the counter. Small place with no table service. First time, no one explained what we as guests should do. it was 4 pm on a Sat.The truffle tots were hot and crisp. The burger on rye was very good. Odd Couple melt was short on peppers and cheese. Red velvet brownie was dry.
