Tried this place based on reviews. Service was slow for lunch. I must say they were very friendly, but I ordered the lunch special for that day to go, assuming that as a lunch special they had it rather ready to go in the kitchen. I ended up waiting a good 20 minutes at the bar, which was pleasant but for a lunch special, I was thinking 10 minutes or so is far more realistic. When I opened the lunch special the food was delicious, but the portions were small. The rest rooms also factor into my score; the mens room here was small (single person) but poorly maintained. Overall, I took points off here for slow service, inability to push daily lunch specials quickly (poor kitchen planning), small portions for the cost, nasty restrooms, but very tasty food served by nice front help.

We lived in Turkey for 2 years and this food is the real deal. Delicious and the wait staff was very friendly. We are new to the area but this will be on our list of favorites.

Our first visit to this little gem. We’ll definitely return! Our waiter was Ben and he steered us in the right direction every time as we made our menu selections. The chilled appetizer platter was amazing. Definitely get it with the lavash. We thoroughly enjoyed the grilled lamb over bulgur wheat. Don’t miss the baklava for dessert. It’s more delicate than the honey drenched Greek version.

This place is a lot nicer than I thought it would be. It was a pleasant surprise and I’m really glad we ate here. We had the falafel appetizer and these were the best falafels I have had. They were a green color on the inside and that surprised me, but my husband said that’s the color they were on the inside when he went to the Middle East. They were very moist not dried out like most falafels I have had. My husband ordered the tabuli with a side of lamb, and I ordered the homemade 7 oz gyro. It is A LOT of lamb, and the Turkish rice was really good. The lamb had really good seasoning. The meat was flanked, and cut into small pieces. But I didn’t mind that either. The tzatziki sauce was more watery than I thought it should be, but still tasted really good. We took the food home bc it was a lot. It might seem a little pricey, but it is definitely worth what you pay. They give you pretty good portion sizes. We’ll definitely put this on our list of favorites!

Home cooking can’t be fast food people… I noticed a lot of reviews on here complaining about the wait. I’ve been here many times and NEVER experienced a long wait but I’m sure if you ask the waiter how long it will take to prepare they will give you an idea, besides everything is fresh and made from scratch! This isn’t a fast food take out place, just order an appetizer if you can’t wait half an hour, which is usually normal for any sit down restaurant with authentic delicious food!19 Nov, 2012LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT!. We’ve been here many times only because the food is authentic, very affordable and simply DELICIOUS!!! What more can I say? Friendly staff and so worth the drive there!

Consistently Superior. I have been to Gengiz Khan several times and I have always been VERY pleased. Incredible service, quality, fresh ingredients and some lovely wines. Prices are low and portions are HUGE, especially the salads. I will continue to return as much as possible.
