Rude and unprofessional. My fiance and I went to Let them Eat Cake for a cake tasting with Chef Michael. Michael made it a very fun experience for us and we loved the different filling options that were available. The cake was a bit dry at the tasting but I assumed that was because it had been out. We were interested in his Lemon Citron Vodka cake for one of the tiers on our wedding cake. He didn’t have the vodka soaked cake available at tastings. He suggested we order the cake for Thanksgiving to try it out. We picked it up and were so disappointed. The cake was incredibly dry and we didn’t see how it had been soaked in vodka. It was truly awful. We had one piece and through it out. We thought this might have just been a one-off bad cake because the store was so busy. We were still interested in getting our wedding cake from him. My fiance called him and told him about our experience with the cake. His response was he didn’t feel like dealing with us and he tore up our order. I would not use this bakery again. He is not a professional!

The easiest thing on your to-do list. I have had the pleasure of working with Chef Michael for several corporate events. His cakes always win awards for our industry and his professional staff and whimsical approach is a delight. Of course selecting him for our wedding cake was a no brainer. The cake was beautiful – naturally! Chef Michael only lets the very best walk out of his bakery and our cake was no exception. From the three different flavors (one for each tier) to the handmade cake topper that matched our theme – everything was exquisite. There are a lot of things you worry about while planning a wedding – a cake shouldn’t be one of them. Do yourself a favor, go have a tasting with Chef Michael, fall in love with his charm and his wonderful spirit, and know – your cake is gonna be beautiful and delicious. Easy! One less thing to worry about!

Not at all reliable. They over promised and under delivered on my Big DayMy mother in law and I spent a good portion of time visiting Chef Micheal and going over the cakes and flavors with him. He seemed to be a prfessional and talented chef with all the creative works in the doing. We liked a pillow cake that was out in display and ordered the same cake with very little modifications. The theme of our wedding was pink, gold and purple. Hence I asked chef Michael to make the top and the bottom layer to be HOt pink with silver and white designs (lacy design on the edges), and the center layer to be white with gold, purple and pink color designs. To make it 100% certain i showed him the picture of a similar cake with the eaxt colors, and chef michael reassured that it wouldnt be an issue. How difficult is it for a chef to execute. The flavor we selected were blackforest for the bottom layer and raspberry cheesecake for other two layers. I arrived at the banquet hall friday night, right before the reception were to start, and found an organge and white cake (bottom layer was orange and top two layers of white), with random blue and gold design on them. I was startled and didnt know how to present it to my fiance. It looked totally out of place. Ofcourse, i did not want this to mess up our Big Day, but it was just not acceptable, and my wife wasnt happy about it either. As far as the taste went, the black forest was good but the other two layers were not even close to the raspberry cheesecake that the chef had us try. This business needs to understand the seriousness and the importance of the orders they recieve from couple who spend a fortune and time to plan their big day, and such mistakes are just not acceptable. Chef Michael apparently left for out of state, right after our wedding and no one from their business has returned my calls as of yet. We have 5 more weddings coming up in the next two years and would not recommend this place to anyone.
