I like Roux but it needs a little improvement. I visited primarily because they advertised chargrilled oysters. They claimed that they were inspired by the oysters at Drago’s which is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. The difference is, Roux did not cook the oysters long enough, they need to be hot and bubbly when they arrive at the table. The oysters were also very small. I was in New Orleans last week and revisited Drago’s. Their oysters are perfect. Maybe they should visit Drago’s as well.

The New Orleans food experience is at its best in this gorgeous fine dining restaurant in Tampa. I had Florida alligator bites for starter , blackened swordfish for main course .. Awesome food!!! I used regular potatoes instead of sweet potatoes and I thought it was a good choice . The service staff are excellent . August is exceptional , one of the best, who know the food so well!! Try out

Had the trio of crawfish touffe seafood gumbo and jambalaya along with half an oyster po boy The trio was tasty. Gumbo and touffe were flavorful. Jambalaya was ok, kind of ho hum and our least favorite by far. touffe had tons of crawfish in it and I think I liked the gumbo best.Po boy was decent but nothing exciting and came with a huge amount of good Cajun fries

5 stars! I truly appreciate the authenticity of this restaurant in South Tampa! I cannot get enough of the delicious shrimp and grits the fresh and the fried oysters are amazing. The Bloody Marys are incredible, along with the specialty martinis! And make sure to order the sweet skillet cornbread! #enjoyit #friendlyservice #greatatmosphere #fabfoodanddrinks #comfortableelegance

After being really excited to try this place we left horribly let down. Saying my garlic potatoes with brunch were plain is an understatement. Husbands po boy was dry. Unlike to return.

Terrible Creole Food. Poor quality. Inconsistent portions at same table. Ive eaten BBQ shrimp all over New Orleans, this is NOT bbq shrimp. It does not have a roux sauce. 1/4 cup small shrimp on a STALE french bread roll. Horrible.Bread pudding was a dry pecan cinnamon bun with maple syrup. DRY no pudding. Cooks should go to NOLA and see what normal quality creole food is.
