Great location with a fantastic view of the water and city. Small place, local vibe. Service was fast and courteous. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were tasty but missing something. I suggest some slaw or crunch in there to add to the taco. It just came with cheese and shrimp really. Regardless, low prices and fast service; great seafood place!
Pretty good. We went for dinner a couple of weeks ago because we were in the area. First of all, Ballast Point Park is AMAZING and I couldn’t believe it wasn’t packed. The view of the water and downtown Tampa is really great from the restaurant, which is small and basic. Surprisingly, they offer table service. Our server wasn’t great but better than having to go to the window all the time and she was really nice. The lobster rolls were as big and as good as the ones at Lobster Haven but $6 cheaper. The hush puppies were great. We look forward to trying more of their food and enjoying the view some more! twofoodiesinlove.wordpress.com

Disappointed. I recently went to the Taste of Boston in South Tampa and was very disappointed. I am originally from Boston and have been searching for a restaurant that serves whole clams. So my son and I went there in October 2014.. We were so excited about the possibility of getting some whole clams. The restaurant was clean and the service was good, but we only got 6 clams a piece on our plate or let me say basket.. I was so shocked I asked the waitress about the portion size and she said that is the normal size they service. OMG for $15.99.. that’s crazy!!! That is an appetizer serving.. I will never go back again. I guess I’ll wait for my yearly visit to Boston and get a good amount of clams.. I’m not a big eater but 6 clams for 15.99 was ridiculous.
Great location, nice people. A great place to have affordable good tasty food. Very close to the city of Tampa in a nice setup. Buffalo Shrimps very yummy. Lothar out of Germany
Same management, same attitude. The food here is okay. Definetly not the same as New England seafood but close as it gets around the Bay Area for the price. They refuse takeout orders without obtaining credit card information. I was also asked to hang up and wait for a call back from them to confirm my number. Sorry, but for a $10 take out order that shouldn’t be necessary. The second time I called I did not have my credit card info (only had cash) and the lady refused to place my order with attitude. They will lose business if they refuse orders. I don’t plan on going there again.
Good meal; watch out for charges.. We had an excellent meal of lobster roll & clam roll and were very happy until my credit card charge cleared my bank. The waitress added another 30% tip to my bill after I had signed it. This gave her a 50% tip ! Service was good, but not that good. Be careful if you eat here.
