I came to Walter’s Coffee shop the day after St. Patrick’s Day to nurse my hangover with some local comfort food. I had mostly gone for breakfast (always being delicious) so figured my chances of getting something fulfilling here for an early dinner were pretty good. Boy I was in for a surprise! it was way better than even expected! My friend and I both ordered the Lemon-Buttered NY Strip with Shrimp $15.99 which was served with large sides of corn and mashed potatoes. Wow, wow, wow. The steak was cooked perfectly to our rare and medium-rare requests, blowing us away with how tasty and juicy it was. Who would’ve known they’d have great steak at a coffee shop/diner like this?! The shrimp was also cooked well, its seasoning rich and savory. Highly recommend coming here for a steak the next time you have a blood lust craving! My boyfriend, who also ate with us, went for a completely different type of meal. He ordered the Waffle Ice-cream Sandwich $9; choosing vanilla ice cream, pecans, and bananas. He said it was phenomenal and devoured its large portion before I even finished my steak! Can’t wait to go back for lunch or dinner to taste other things; this place is a must try for those in the Palmetto/Cutler Bay area or anyone passing by on their way down south on US1!IG: KFitzEats
