Diamond in the Rough. Dont let the building fool you. Best oysters you can find. Really fresh.. Resonably priced compared to PCB strip oyster houses. Service was great. Found ou this is where the locals ate… I cant wait to get back to Gene’s. It is our new family tradition spot
Where the locals go for seafood. Go during of peak hours for the best experience. The place only seats 14-16 people but its the best seafood in town.
Great Little Dive!. My brother in law went there the night before, and raved Bout it so much that me and my wife went the next night. Oh my God!! It was delicious! I had my first oyster. Not what I thought it would taste like. Very good. The main thing I had was Sauted Crab Claws. Also, not what I thought it was going to be. They were very small claws, ( about 16 of them) drenched in a garlic Parmesan butter sauce. I’m a butter lover, and I wasn’t disappointed. Delicious! I also had the clam chowder. Also very good. It could of had a des more clams in it. But the flavor was amazing. My wife had the fried grouper. It was very good as we’ll. Make sure you get some hush puppies. Unbelievable! Great local spot!. This is a tiny, hole in the wall place. It is off the beaten path for most tourists. This is literally just a counter with bar stools, and you just belly up for the best seafood. Simple menu, simple folks…so you won’t find a website or facebook page. Cash only so have the mullah at the ready. Prices are really reasonable. Not much for the kiddos that may be picky eaters (hot dogs for ours since they are picky unless it is processed crap that is bad for you) The food is great! This is a gem for sure, and we plan to go back often.
The food was excellent! Down side little pricey for portion size. All in all I enjoyed my meal. Thank you.
Best oyster bar in Panama City which includes the beach. The oysters are delicious and the staff is like family. A quiet and local hot spot that won’t disappoint. If you want oysters on the half shell, baked or fried this is your spot. The rest of the menu is steep in southern seafood tradition and the soft shell crab is a must. Give it a shot, you’ll go back for round two.
Awesome! Best oysters ever! Crab legs, shrimp, & scallops great too. Service was fantastic – Dave our server was wonderful & friendly. Simply great food!!!!
