I am a native of Panama City but currently stationed in GA. Anytime I’m in town I make sure that I’d go to Hunt’s to get my fix of oysters… but recently the owners have made some very inappropriate racist comments and posts on their personal Facebook page about the purging of black people in town… so I will no longer give them one red cent from this day forth and I encourage others to do the same!
Celebrating 50 years and I understand why. Great Food, Great Service. I am impressed with a seafood restaurant that has good sides and sauces that compliment the fresh seafood. Prepare for a wait but well worth it.
We used to go to Hunt’s quite a bit but the last time was the last time. My wife and I were told it was over an hour wait so we were directed to sit outside on a bench. There were empty spots at the bar and some empty tables but even though if we bought a beer, we weren’t allowed to sit down until our name was called. I own my own business so to me customer service is what makes a business not the product you sell so we fought oysters some place else with an inviting atmosphere and a welcoming attitude. There are plenty of choices in Panama City and the beach area to spend my time and money.
The best meal I had in Panama City Beach. The oysters were good, blackened fish was good, but oily. It was another heavy, oily meal. But it’s a good place, very popular.
This is the go to place for me and a few friends when we want oysters. Shuckers are quick and we love to sit at the bar so we’ll wait for an opening spot. Its a small place, but it is well known. Prepare for a wait–but it is well worth it.
Always my favorite place to eat anytime we come to Panama City no mater what you order you will be happy. Small local place lines can get long but great oysters and service.
I come every time that I’m in town and it is always packed. The food is great and atmosphere was excellent. They had very fresh oysters and the guy selling stuff out front is always fun to haggle with. Eat great oysters and buy your girlfriend a bracket or something to take home
